The first game was OK, while the second one was a complete trash. Play only the first one.

I finished this game last year, the graphics are still bareable, not really something to bitch about, but god fucking damn it the game can get insanely frustrating.
I wouldn't recommend finishing the thing, i wouldn't do it again that's for sure.

There are way better stealth games out there, and if you play for the gore only you will get bored very fast.

actually i really liked the first one. i think it`s worth it. don`t give a shit about the graphics, the story is good and it has atmosphere. of course it gets a little repetitive, but actually there are few linear games that don`t. Painkiller becomes annoying on the second level, but its still a good game for the same reasons. and on top of it all Manhunt is not easy at all so i definitely recommend it. but don`t waste time playing Manhunt 2.
