Save the game with f5 and then load the game with f9, this usually works.

Okay so i set everything to maximum (ultra settings) but the game just lost a massive chunk of immersion. WHen starting the game in mountains etc i was in love lost hours wandering around. Arrived at Winterhold i believe and theres a bit where you walk downwards and the town has a massive open area which you can see from afar.
It made me want to vomit, the detail was crap as it was obviously just outside the LOD area, there were zero shadows at that distance and it broke the entire immersion part the game HAD up until then.
Basically I want to run this game with FULL eye candy i reckon to really enjoy it.
 Spoiler: | Plus the first dragon encounter was so fucking lame and scripted, felt so unnatural. I stopped playing yesterday feeling really disappointed with that game session, arriving in Winterhold and getting my first shout |
JBeckmans ini settings really make a big difference to how it looks?

I had that happen too. I'm not a high elf. It was badass. Dual cast fireballs infinity. Literally destroyed a dragon in 15 seconds (and it was stunned the whole time!)

try player.setstage [quest id] [stage] in console
search the quest id from wiki or smtng and stage should be... i dunno "40", "45"?

Is there a mod that modifies resting in a way that makes it very quick?
for instance i set 24 h. press rest and it instantlyends the resting process.
im currently levelling alchemy and its a pain in the ass lol

Ultra on a GTX460? What resolution? Suggest you lower graphic settings (duh!). The game looks good on medium settings. Try that then gradually increase the settings to find what you like.

bit dissapointed with all the random dragon encounters, something I feared would happen. I dont understand bethesdas love for randomly spawning dragons like they did with the oblivion gates. There should've been just a few very though dragons high atop the mountains.
imo each dragon should've been uniqe and much much tougher to kill.
Also where can you find some daedra stuff?
Dont mess with God, he can impregnate your girlfriend/wife without taking his pants off!

You didn't pay attention to the lore, right? ALL the dragons are being reawakened due to the end of times.
