Fuck. Stuck on a Thieves Guild quest. Game freezes every time I try to save in a particular area of the overland map, or if I try to get into the water... and it's an island.
Is there a console command to fast travel to X location? Or somehow fast travel via the map when enemies are nearby? It's a fucking sneaking mission

No, I think it's actually the other way around. Noticing all of these things is anything else but shallow. It means I actually care about the game that I play. I care about the character, what armor I pick up etc.
Treating me like an idiot, explaining how the camera works like I didn't already know that, is not very polite. You obviously didn't read my complain about it really well, because what I said was it's not possible to MOVE and rotate the camera at the same as it was possible in previous Bethesda games. I find it as a very big flaw.
Also, it is the video game so talking about graphics is totally normal. What is not normal, is the quality of shadows and textures for 2011 game. Also, I mention a lot more than only graphics, so please be fair.
I'm not the type who loves to make thousands of shallow, short posts on forums so when I do say something, it's actually important, at least for me.

I would've been accused in trolling or called an idiot no matter what, with or without that introduction. I knew it was coming - that's what you get when you're trying to focus on unpleasant stuff. Nobody wants to deal with it anymore, "if you have nothing nice to say, say nothing at all" is the new way of thinking. I don't care, because I know my points were valid. But it's the same old "the truth hurts" cliche... But if you don't even notice these problems, because to you they are too unimportant and shallow, nothing's going to change and we will get the same flawed game all over again.

Southfringe Sanctums snowy area instance is all messed up texture wise here heh, soon as you go back out to skyrim its all fine.. the quest there as well seems to not update for me.

I was gettin quite a few crashes to desk yesterday but none today. I'm as lazy as they come n used JB's ini files to optimise my graphics etc. After 1 ctd too many I decided to try Sabin's ini's cause I'm usin an NV560 Ti n figured his settings also made for an NV card albeit a 570 might work better than JB's whose uses some ATI card (can never remember what ati model numbers are what so don't remember what JB is runnin).
It worked the crashes stopped straight away. tip of hat to Sabin.

Don't try to justify the way you started off here. It doesn't even make sense, I mean, if you knew all along, that posting negative things would start the flames, no matter the introduction - then why bother with this forum at all. I mean, if you're all that smart, you should have figured that out ...
...unless of course it DOES matter, how you introduce yourself. Not to be an elitist prick here, but there are people here, who have been playing games for 20-25+ years, some of these people could be your father, if they weren't too nerdy for sex in their tweens.
Also, there are respected members of this community, who happen to bitch a lot about modern games, still they are not shunned, because they are otherwise cool people, who put their arguments forth without flaming or disrespecting others.
You started out on the wrong foot, the people here just reacted. Now, unless you like flaming, you'd best stop with this attitude and try and become part of the community - you have to compromise for it to work at this stage (you start with a disadvantage), but if you think it's worth a shot, and if you think this community is important for you, then give it another friendlier go. If you want to troll and flame, be advised, this is not the place, where you'd find partners for that, but I can recommend 4chan for you instead.
I too dislike a lot of modern games, and to be perfectly honest, I don't think Skyrim is all that great, but when I do decide to share that information, I'll do it as I always do: put some compelling arguments forth in a friendly manner, so that when we do eventually disagree, we still stay amicable and respect and understand each others motives.

I killed one horse falloin off the side of greybeard mountain that offered up some good steaks, another time me horse stepped into a swing of m'sword n copped a critical hit which dropped it like a sack of shit - that one was waiting for me back at the stable. I dunno if the difference is random or whether it is the means of death. This horse is jumping into conflicts like a dog companion now.

Has anyone been able to find any other dragon abilities? I mean i'm able to find the words of power easilly enough..but it seems whenever I kill a dragon, I take the soul..then nothing happens. Level 20 and still just have access to whirlwind and overpowering shout... Got 3 others just waiting for souls..
LOL..you have to "unlock" it..i hate myself sometimes.

My biggest issues with the game so far:
You level up way too fast (needs a mod asap!)
Seriously, I'm level 26 now and actually didn't do shit (Story/Quest Progress) in this game but the game throws hard as fuck enemies at me already and I find late game Items everywhere.
You'll somewhat gimp yourself against certain enemies later on when you mix up points in the perk-trees too much. Let's say you wanna play it R.E.H's Conan style. A 2hand wielding thief/warrior (which implies LightArmor, Archery, Sneaking, 1hand/dualwield/blocking) for example. But you also want to do Blacksmith and Alchemy... you gonna run into problems people. Yes, you really do.
Bethesda wants you to stick to those 3..

And their new "Radiant Story/Quest/World" feature will bite you in the ass if you don't do so.
(For example: What Sabin posted regarding those Ice-Shard shooting Mages. You're not the only one mate.. it's frustrating. Also tried it with Frost-Resi... and my Char is a fucking Nord too. Somehow I get the feel that it doesn't do shit against this Spell).
Just another example. There is a small Cave near Whiterun (East road) with some Trolls in it. Those fuckers smash you to pieces early on (Especially if you're melee). So you may think you should visit this place later on (Just a reminder, you've started spending points in all those Trees I mentioned above). Let's say you use 2Hand weapons. If you only put one point in the first Perk, those Trolls gonna fuck you up and you do almost no damage to them. Equals = You're dead. So let's say you're pretty strong now, played/explored alot and you wanna give it a try again... the Trolls will still give you a hard time if you didn't put enough points in the first Perk. You saved up some points and put them in there... Trolls die after two-three heavy swings and are staggered after each one, unable to attack you anyway..
That was easy now. Seriously.. WTF? Now you start exploring this cave and what you're gonna find is the killer... a friggin unique LOW-LEVEL Bow which you should have obtained way earlier in the game. And you could have.. if you didn't spent thise points everywhere...
This shit happened to me on so many locations I avoided in the beginning. Just to find out that the "Treasure" there is more for early Characters...
For me, that's kinda fucked up and drives me mad. Pure nonsense...
 
Played for 30 hours and 14 minutes (Even 1 of my RAM Sticks got destroyed).
And yes, that's one of the 8(10) Dragon Priest's mask.

I think there's some confusion here. First of all - I don't know you, you don't know me. Why do you assume that I'm new to gaming, talkiing about people who have played games 20+ years? Maybe I'm one of them? I didn't flame, disrespect or insult anybody personally - calling others idiots is not my style. I find it actually pretty cheap and easy way out when you have nothing else meaningful to say, so I have never done that.
I made that post, because it's one of the few gaming forums I read and that's the way how I felt. I described all the things that were bothering me about the game, but it doesn't mean that the game itself is awful. No, the rest (especially the exploration part) is totally fine. But sometimes pure honesty can be shocking, I understand that, so some might react with personal insults isntead. It's nothing new, I've seen it many times both in RL and on the internet. Still, if you think I'm full of crap or trolling, why to answer and spend your time on me at all? Just read and move along, shake your head or nod, like everybody else. I've never understood why people get mad about other's opinions and impressions on music, movies or games anyway... It's just so weird.
But I do respect this forum and apologize if I left a negative or unfriendly impression. Maybe I learned something, maybe not.

I took the time to write about you, because I hoped I could ease the situation a bit, and you didn't seem like the run of the mill jester, whom I instantly ignore. You did have some points, but overall your packaging was very lacking.
The truth wasn't the shocking part. Heck, your opinion wasn't so shocking either. What shocked people is the condescending manner in which you started your thread. It reeked of arrogance, and that is not a good way of making an impression. Maybe among teens it would have an impact on the pecking order, but if you really read this forum, then you know, that above all else, people here respect friendliness.
I have written longer and way more criticizing reviews about many games here that many enjoy and even love, but it never, ever elevated to such a flamewar, that you mustered with a single post.
All I can do from this point on, is repeat myself: if you truly intend to be a part of this community (and be acknowledged), you have to tone down the cockiness  , or you won't really find here, what you're looking for (hoping that's meaningful conversation in your book).

Although this is my GOTY 2011. There are still things that needs to be fixed. Skyrim is better than Morrowind in any possible way except for the leveling system, dungeon enemies and ambiance. Its almost equal but morrowind is still the better of the two.

Main quest bug - can't continue the game | Spoiler: | It happens when Delphine (located in Riverwood - sleeping giant inn) say that i must find Esbern in Riften - rat sewers, (that is the chain quest after i kill dragon with Delphine and after a party with ambassador), i find this guy Esbern in rat sewers, he is behind some doors with little window, and i try to talk to him trough that window but conversations are going extremely fast (bugged), and then after we talked, quest says that i must open that door and go into that room behind door and speak to Esbern again, it say press E to open door, and nothing happens,. try'ed to reload sewers again but same thing happens, cant open door with E, help or i cant continue main quest and the game, i'm afraid that i was the first here to find this annoying bug,.. if we all cant continue the game, then we are fucked up  |

You have to understand that I had really high expectations for Skyrim, honestly wishing it would be something special. Maybe Todd Howard is right, maybe the game is going to have all new amazing animations, engine, combat etc. But unfortuntely it's not the game they were hyping it up to be, so my "cocky attitude" and disappointment comes only from that. It has dothing to do with the forum or people posting here. I made that introduction for obvious reasons, that's why we're still talking about it.
I think I managed to make a very good point about the camera, which no one seems to have noticed, at least on this forum. I googled it before and there are many others who have mentioned it on other sites so it's not only me who's according to you is just complaining.
Finally, a lame excuse, but I also understand that my writing or "packaging" could be much better and it's harder for me to express myself since English is not my first language, but still, you seem to get my point.
