yeah , i kinda agree here lol (not being a blizzard fanboy here, heck, i'd love 2 great hack nslash at the same time ^'^, but i had my bad experiences with ncsoft .. a lot of bad experiences ...)
Personally I must confess that I think Guild Wars 2 is looking extremely interesting and it will be a day 1 buy for me. With that said I hardly doubt any NCsoft hack'n'slash can compete with Diablo III when it comes to polish, class balancing, future support/updates, community, lore, atmosphere, artistic values and just plain good old playability among a lot more. You may say what you want about Blizzard but I think everybody agrees that when they delve into something it's not half-assed.
I think it's great that we get more hack'n'slashers though. I love those games and I absolutely played Titan Quest to death. It's just a shame that we haven't seen any good slasher games in many years, and then NC Soft decides to launch a competing product just when the grand daddy of slashers is getting a sequel. I think I might be a D3 fanboi to be honest. My opinion might be unfit I don't know.
beta is awesome but very short, played as barbarian, first run through took about 2 hours, it is only part of act 1 though, if you liked d1 or d2 you will like this. it does not disappoint
Took 2 hours or so. I kind of rushed through it. Considering I'll be beating it with every class I didnt see a point in smelling all the roses with my first character. Witch Doc is pretty fun but he doesn't get a real good attack skill till you're pretty much done.
The graphics and atmosphere are great. The sound is phenomenal though the voice acting is hit and miss. I hope they are not shipping the game with some of these voice actors' work.
Ok probably I am too greedy and don't deserve it. Meanwhile I have 27 Battle.net Accounts with Beta Profiles filled and 7 Facebook Accounts registered for the facebook key giveaway. No luck yet. Seems like you can't force it. Was never inivited to a beta by blizzard anyway. I am still their greatest fanboy.
i wish i could lie and say that diablo 3 is one i'll even consider buying, but... nope, i called it, years ago in fact.
