They never said it's third for sure. They were just dropping ideas |
he pretty much said he's in a different timeline and he has to go back...
There is no bridge device nao... they're gonna have to meet the observers for the first time

And I hate that timetravel thingy a bit. If they went couple of months back in time they would have appeared in the middle of space, not on earth |
Shhhh.... if they made an accurate fringe episode it wouldn't be called fringe... it would be on the history channel and there'd be aliens.
They're probably going to call it a universe because trying to explain the whole timeline thing to fox audience would be like explaining some of the philosophical jokes monty python does to a couple of god fearing americans.
They are speeding up the story arch though.

Peter only thinks he's out of place, doesn't mean it is so.

moar like observers exist, they just aren't aware of them yet. Can't wait till observers become more and more evident and we'll see what's what
I love this season right now. It's like a very very first episode of fringe, but with past history already present and everyone is sort of new but not really new EPIC

I don't know if it's been mentioned yet. But did anybody else wonder why in the old bishop house on campus there's a flat screen tv under that dusty old rag?

last episode was a bit meh.. I do like the whole season ark, but some random guy building a frakking time machine in his basement (based on some mathematical equations) is completely out of place. I would have accepted if it had something to do with Massive Dynamics (them beeing superscientists and having the actual ressources like a frakking particle accellerator or something like that) or something from the other universe. And then, lets just build a frakking human faraday cage to walk inside lol.
I know, in the end Peter says, its because of him that the whole thing actually worked. Still... I feel like they pulled that nice and slowoly out of their ass.
Noble was excellent, as usual. I hope next week will be better.

This nonage is self-imposed if its cause lies not in lack of understanding but in indecision and lack of courage to use one's own mind without another's guidance. Dare to know! (Sapere aude.) "Have the courage to use your own understanding," is therefore the motto of the enlightenment."

couleur: i'm not arguing with you just explaining how i personally interpreted the episode.
The random guy: they told us that he was an engineer (ppl who take stuff that exist on paper and make it real).
The Book: The equations was the finishing part of the machine. That was partly why he had to go back all the time and have her finish more of the equations. The machine part was finished already but the programing part wasn't.
So perhaps in an earlier part of the book there existed a description of a machine..
It's a stretch i admit but shit it's only that tv-show i watch every week to relax from my work week. Life starts to suck if you analyze everything to death.

true by the word |
Exactly the same.. I even stopped watching the series in the beginning because of her. A friend of mine recommended the series telling me the main actress was hot. I thought he got an early stage of brain cancer.
Now....
Empty again

Guise,
I love the show. I just complained about the idea that "normal people" begin to construct time machines in their basement. Most of the extreme up to that point were done by Massive Dynamics, who also seem to have unlimited ressources and brain. It just felt wrong somehow... to me anyway... the rest is ok.

they had normal people create weapons/things that weren't linked to MD or WB. They linked the concepts to MD or WB but normal/regular people were responsible. So it's ok
