I can't even get the game to run if i have Steam running. Is this because I have the cracked Steam DLLs in the Skyrim folder? If so, could anyone upload the original DLLs somewhere?

Anyway, I'm like level 36 now and I've killed 16 dragons. Frost dragons, blood dragons, elder dragons, a few named ones. But it's really, really overkill. They totally ruined the uniqueness inherint in dragons. These are fiercesome creatues of legend, that are immortal and extremely powerful. You shouldn't be encountering this many of them and they should be much harder to kill. It's just stupid the way it is now. I hope either Beth fixes it or a mod does.
Oh well. Back to the game anyway. Can't get enough. Working on magic now. Coming along quite nicely. |

Okay so I'm not running any ini tweaks other than mouse sensitivity and vsync options, running it on mostly ultra bar the shadows set to high, single GPU as crossfire won't work... Get random fps in towns etc, at first they bothered me, now I dont give a fuck.
What astounds me by this game is that I've basically done very little in terms of actual storyline progress yet find myself completely immersed in this world. Its fucking incredible.
Yes there are bugs, yes if I stumble into one and I can use to my advantage I will! I haven't done any of the weight removal tweaks and stuff because I feel it will lead to just making mega money quick hence progressing too quickly. Everything done so far has been slow but I'm just having one of the best times so far.
Only thing I'm not 100% convinced with yet is Enchanting, You basically spend a shit load of money on those crystals things, go out and filll them, use em on your weapons n stuff but have to keep resupplying them?
I wandered into the mountains today at lunch time, found a couple of dead bodies around with decent loot on, stumbled into a shrine and suddenly started some massive dragon battle.
No quests to tell me go here, i disabled all that for now on my UI. If you just go out with a certain task in mind but explore at the same time, you find yourself losing an hour doing something completely different, coming out of some mass dungeon you didnt even notice before and thinking "what was i trying to do before??? ah yes..." then proceeding to stumble across something else and losing another hour or two.
Astounding.
I never got into oblivion, the fat faces and boring quest lines put me off after 2-3 hours of play. With this though I think they've created something really special.
I've seen this guys website http://deadendthrills.com/?cat=314 which has incredible photos at the cost of performance naturally and cant help but feel humbled at the kind of games people can create these days... Something like RAGE just goes to show how creativity really does surpass a decent tech engine in so many ways.
I cant wait for them to patch some big issues people are having and to be able to play this a little bit smoother still!
I've been tempted to try jbeckmans ini but everytime i think about doing it I just get impatient and jump into Skyrim instead.
I was hyped for a year or 2 years about BF3 and its a great game, but this has totally stolen me from my massive evenings sessions on that game. I just cant tear myself aware
Happy gamer...

It's obvious they are weak after their legendary slumber!

Should I bother to download latest nvidia drivers, 285.79? They supposedly improve Skyrim performance and what not.

There's a quest for a reusable soul gem, plus you never need to recharge apparel enchantments - only weapon ones.

Is the Markarth Jarl aligned with Stormcloaks or Empire? I want to know because I wish to side with whatever side he isn't on.
Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Probably because I want him and his guards to die in a fire? You didn't answer the question though.

Lore wise those things are ancient Nord warriors resurrected (By Alduins horrid singing I guess.) in the form of a dragon so I don't think they classify as true TES dragons other than Alduin (Which in lore terms is a aspect of Akatosh much like Talos=Tiber Septim and not directly related.) anyway that would be the games way to try and explain it.
That and they're leveled, you only see the highest-level dragons when you yourself is a rather high level.
(10, 15, 20, 30, 50 if I remember correctly for the different dragons and their actual level, doesn't mean you need to be level 50 to see those dragons as usually higher-level creatures are introduced gradually before the player reaches the same level which is why you see Draugr Deathlords alongside Restless Draugr, nice thing to not entirely phase out weaker creatures - like the Skeever or basic Wolf - entirely though they're reduced a bit, anyway it's improved over Oblivion into similar to the system from Fallout 3 - which was mentioned in earlier previews even, from what I remember.)

That's the skeleton key I guess, funny since there's already a perk in lockpicking making the pick unbreakable.
