This is the real reason why garus likes the HC servers: no 3D spotting means he gets and advantage with his IRNV scope!

all this irnv shit-talk reminds me the thermal optics on crysis 2 multy: perfect balance on beta, whiner in everyfuckingcorner blaming the thermal too overpowered FOR THE PEOPLE USING IT (jesus christ, just press the button to get it too... isnt an unlock. ) and got nerfed to almost be useless.
the sun-torch nerf its right, the irnv? no, because its only a 1X scope.
it gives you a great advantage in spotting the enemy, but if you cant kill it because you only see a little-tiny dot, what you can do? just spot and flank him or pass the kill to your teamates. Smile

OK i just bought and launched the game for the first time via Origin and...is it me or is there not many 64 ppl servers ? Dunno but it doesn't seem very populated compared to how BF2 was (i know it's early but still).

Now sorry if this was asked\mentioned before but i don't feel like going through almost 600 pages to find the answer so.

Btw i wish i didn't buy it on Origin. Don't like the interface and the lack of BF3 menus and standalone .exe ect. Game run fine and i have no real issues with Origin but it still sort of suck lol.

Buy in a store on DVD and use in game browser instead of Origin interface ?

Or is that not an option ?? Failed Troll

I didn't even go to the store or inform myself about how to buy the game , i just wanted it ASAP and the fastest way was Origin Razz

installation always goes through origin. But after you can use the razor exe which removes the origin "has to run" onbligation (and so far it didnt caused any problems).

Alright as i said i'm too much of a wuss but it's still pretty gay that is has to go through origin. Now people have probably complained about it a lot in this thread so i'll just stop whining anf live with it.

That said what about the lack of 64 player servers or so it seems ? Is it just me or the game doesn't look that populated compared to it's predecessor ?

The conquest maps are shit and nothing more than meat funnels so 64 players gets hectic and by that I mean you'll die more from TK than the enemy.

The infrared scope in Battlefield 3 is a powerful accessory that make it incredibly easy to pick out enemies — too easy, according to many players, who have complained about the IRNV’s abilities. DICE has listened to the complaints and confirmed in an interview with GameSpy that the scope will be balanced out in the upcoming patch. According to DICE Karl Magnus Troedsson:

“Based on player feedback, we have made some tweaks to the IRNV scope to make it more balanced with the rest of the accessories in the game.”

Troedsson added that they take all balance feedback seriously, but are careful not to overreact. The IRNV scope can be unlocked for most rifles, sniper rifles, SMGs and shotguns, and provides a wide field of view of the battlefield where enemies easily stand out.

weeee Smile

How ever unbalanced it was I still liked it just because I could spot the pesky sniper campers.
Also highly useful on metro/seine with all the windows. Can I kill the snipers in there, no, but at least everyone knows there is one and don't go on open. I die like 10% with IRNV scopes, rest are vehicles or regular scopes.

Sorry, no love from snipers here. Come out and play!

the funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Mmm, nice! Haven't launched single noobtube yet, as the current one takes away medkit and usefulness to the team.

Karkand is turning out to be as great as Northern Strike expansion on BF2142. You got mine bait unlocked from there and worked on regular game as well.

There's a standalone battlelog out i saw (you log into that, no need for origin), seems to works fine, i don't have the game so can't test it.

http://bf3.realmware.co.uk/battlelog-standalone/

here's the link on the EA forums, it's legit.
