wait, you're seriously bitching about having DLC included? volition pretty much said they chopped half of the game out to sell as DLC.
also i'm loving this still but.... why is the map for this game so insanely small? even for a saints row game it's small, most GTA maps are big enough to get lost just driving around randomly, here each district is like.... 5 intersections? if that of space and 2-4 places you can actually interact with.
been seeing an update 1 floating around a few places anyone tried it?
original release does seem like review copy version now that i think about it, few odd sort of buggy things so far, the crash when quitting being main one (but it's only happened once, oddly) would be nice if 3D vision was usable with the update 1 too but i'm not gonna be surprised if it isn't.
also, the tank isn't invincible.... it's very nearly indestructible, but it will happen eventually, didn't think it was possible, the garbage trucks at stock definitely seem to be second most armored though, i found the first destruction activity and had one, infinite rockets and i gave up on it eventually
and having an awesome weapon alone definitely isn't enough to win all the challenges for the most part, i failed with the rocket launcher like $5,000 short
i'm loving how every vehicle in the game is customizable though so far, i need to get a cop car and check if those are sometime though, also semi-drifting
guys, someone finally figured it out! we can now play this with only the dlc and without the bonuses! i've already tried this.. i started a new game, and now i only have the dlc and a mere $4k! no more $40k, no more tanks, no more helicopters, no more free territory, etc..
the dlc i still have are some clothes, 2 weapons (the octopus cannon and fish shotgun), 3 vehicles in the garage (bike and car from nyte blade and the genki car)

Hey AWESOME,
I found a way to circumvent the whole DLC unlocked + infinite cash weapons etc cheats.
I downloaded the Steam Unlocked P2P version and applied that 2GB (which I think extracted to 4GB) patch files.
Then I simply copied both cracked EXE files from the SKIDROW crack into my extracted folder. Use ONLY the exe files, DO NOT use the other cracked files provided with the SKIDROW crack.
The final piece of the puzzle is the steam_appid.txt file. There isn't one supplied with the game, neither with the SKIDROW cracked files. So you'll manually need to create one.
Then you simply need to find a app id that will allow you to save the game. Now, just for safety, I don't want to give you the app id I'm using at the moment, seeing that I'm afraid they'll ban it and it won't work with the game anymore, so you could try and test with id 38750.
Keep in mind, I used SmartSteam in the background the whole time. If that ID doesn't work, you just need to find one that does. In order to know if the ID will work or not, you'll get a message telling you "there isn't enough space on the storage device to create a save game" if the ID doesn't work, when u want to start a new game.
If you start a new game and it doesn't give u that message, then you'd know that the ID is working.
So just to summarize, you'll need:
1) SmartSteam
2) Only the cracked EXE files from the SKIDROW crack
3) A working app id for usage in conjunction with SmartSteam
4) Play the game like it's meant to be played
There is no way for it to work any other way without steam, so unless SKIDROW releases a crack fix, then this is the only working method to do it without the cheats / dlc enabled.
Test this out with the SKIDROW version, as I've only tested it with the P2P unlocked version, but it should work fine with the SKIDROW version, if you stick to only copying the 2 exe files only and use smartsteam + steam_appid.txt with a working ID.
The only thing that I ask of you, once again, is to credit me for this fix. Shouldn't be too hard to find a working ID, if you try a few
i would love to see a patch from skidrow to fix it too, but i just can't wait.. i really wanna play the game as it's supposed to be instead of full of unlocked bonuses
