Hehe they blatantly tried to copy LA Confidential but obviously failed since the movie is a true masterpiece. Close enough, though Razz

NB: Did not watch it in 3D, waste of money imo.

tintin - 8.5/10

oh man, this is EXACTLY what I want in an adventure film, its fucking fantastic. i havent smiled this much, and been this entertained in a long time... was so satisfying, which is exactly what a lot of recent films have not been able to do... also one of the best chase sequences ive seen in a long time.

fantastic setpieces as well, especially the memory flashback bit.

sign me the fuck up for the next film!

also the animation was fantastic. by going the realistic-yet-comic-book-like route means the animation isnt creepy (or atleast it wasnt to me), and it was wonderfully done, especially snowy... that little dog was so beautifully animated Very Happy

I loved Tintin as well but I couldnt help but think that Tintin was actually severely retarded and Snowy(who is called Terry in our country Very Happy) is his service dog. The level of help he provides made me lulz Very Happy

In Denmark that movie is called "Bolle venner" wherein "bolle" means to fuck (a bit softer ekspression tho) and "venner" is friends. So if it was translated back it would be "fuck friends". I love my country sometimes Smile

Who has time for movies with Skyrim? So Much Win

Melancholia - I dk if I can rate this. Again typical Lars von Trier movie, where he tries to express the mental state of a being through this strong metaphors. The 'sci-fi' part of it was cleverly used, and I guess he put it there solely for the imagery. He could have used anything else to portrait the depression that the characters are going through, but this gives the nice touch to it.

I do have a problem with the movie. It's really too long. And I admit that I skipped some parts.

The cast is really good also.

But it's that 'artsy' type of movies where he is really trying to make audience think and tries to make them feel what his characters are going through... I found it hard at some points, but a good movie overall...
