The HTTP://DECKERS.DIE mission was absolutely brilliant! I love this game! Yeah, there are some things that annoy me compared to SR2, but the rest is just fucking awesome. Also, both the radios and the actual soundtrack for the game is really great.

Even just the opening missions are fucking ace. Parachuting into a penthouse party, gunning everyone down, chasing down a guy in a helicopter, protecting a gang member as he drives away with the loot from a vault by blowing up rival gang's cars with rockets, then hanging off the side of a building with a huge sniper rifle?

LMAO, I'm doing a mission where you clear out an office building and I accidentally performed the running attack where your character knocks over the enemy and surfs on him and surfed out the window and fell to my death.

.... I am, however, locked into playing in DX9 mode. DX10/11 doesn't work at all, just crashes on load. So much for Volition and their lofty claims of "doing it right this time!" the only response to support tickets is, yep.. you guessed it... "Make sure DirectX is installed" >_>

It's weird, DX11 works just fine here (even though there isn't much difference in terms of visuals tbh) |

Well...did you install the game's DX or just left it at "I already have it"? Works perfectly fine on my end.

Can someone please clarify, is the skidrow version crack broken or something? I see some people mentioning the DLC and cheats being activated, and I see there are fixes for that.

Not really, I just don't like the "works for me, must be your fault" mentality. It's irksome and pretty much one of my major pet peeves about the internet. I don't do it (or if I do believe someone is at fault, I HELP them) so it's not unfair of me to expect the same courtesy. Hell, I could be having a field day in the Skyrim thread if I did do that -- everyone complaining about so many bugs and glitches, I could quite easily play the "Works fine for me, must be you/your machine" card and be having a blast.
Companion issues? None here.
Physics issues? None here.
Framerate issues? None here.
Quest bugs? None here.
etc etc etc.
But I don't because, to be blunt, I consider it a highly dickish thing to do. I'm not the only person having this bizarre DX10/11 crash - and it most definitely isn't an issue with my machine or something I've done/not done. I'm sorry if it seems like I'm being overly serious, imagine how you'd feel if every time you mentioned having an issue, people taunted you about it and said everything is fine on their end?
Ah well, at least it's working (today... >_>) in DX9 mode.

I'm sorry Sabin, I just said that because I know that we have the same system (and we're also using the same drivers I think) . Have you tried the cracked release out of curiosity? (I know, it's a stupid advice) but maybe there's some problem with Steam or something like that :S
