There is not bin folder there. Created one just for the hell of it. Still starts up steam.

Yep it's fine, but it can be so much better with a gamepad. I'm just looking fo the best experience possible, so I'll be patient and try to get a fix for the gamepad controls.

I'm struggling to find a Steam CD-Key online retailer (other than Steam....) - anyone got some leads please? Loads of retail disc keys but I would much prefer a Steam one.

Ebay? You might find people selling the coupons that came with Nvidia cards. Probably won't be much more expensive than standard retail.
