i dont get it, does intkeys work with steam? it just says live on their site (would have to seriously consider the purchase anyway with their reputation for banned keys)

The only way to have it on Steam is a) have or buy a coupon from certain Nvidia graphics cards (you can ebay for them, I believe), or b) buy it on Steam. That's it.

And they delayed the game for a month for what? To break DX11? Good job. Also, the release date just went back to 25th in Europe. Great, they fuck over Europe yet again, and again and again. Rage

Will the proekaan version be properly activated at that time ?

No reason why not. Epic cock-up is epic, but it's got an official European release of the 25th, and there's no reaosn to think it won't activate properly then.

Game runs great with DX9 mode maxed out. Has shit problems under DX11 mode however. I honestly didn't notice much difference with the DX11 features enabled though. So no big deal.

Didn't watch myself and suddenly I realized that I'm in the finale of the game. It was an epic ending, as expected. My reaction: Crying or Very sad

Just let the credits go a bit before skipping it. There will be a little audio surprise in the first few minutes to make the ending more somber. Sad I don't know if there is any video material at the end of it, the scrolling was so painfully slow that there is no way I'll sit through it to find out.

Since I still spent quite a bit of time hunting Riddler trophies and doing side missions I can't be really sure, but I would say about 2/3 in.

For those of you that have lost your saves converting to full steam integration, i found out how to put your old saves back in and fully working, requires a little hex editing, but all works fine.

If like me you have unlocked via VPN, but did NOT start the install then your saves will be in

Documents/WB Games/Batman Arkham City/Saves

These saves use save0.sgd as file names.

If you have now used the vpn to install the start stuff like me you have lost your saves, or you can now play via the play button, then you saves have now moved, and use a different structure.

Steam/userdata/xxxxxx/57400/remote/{steamusername lowercase}-save0.gsd NB: xxxx is your steam ID

example : madk9-save0.gsd

So rename and copy your saves to the steam folder.

But also you will need to make a small hex edit to the save file before you load the game again.

Old saves at the start 90:81:04:00:6c::76:73:33
Proper steam saves use 6c:76:73:33

Hope this helps some of you out, and esp for you guys where the game hasn't unlocked yet, and will cause you problems when it does...

Great game, I've played it only for a couple of hours but it has everything that made Arkham Asylum so enjoyable, with the addition of an open-world environment (beautifully rendered), side missions and obviously more stuff to find/do.

Graphically speaking it has been improved a lot, especially the lighting, and the performance is really good here on dx9 (while it stutters like hell on dx11 for unknown reasons).

Mouse controls are nice as well, even better once you disable the framerate cap (which causes some lag). Overall it's definitely every bit as good as I expected

So, is this the best looking UE3 title (aside of Mirror's Edge, that will always look excellent)? I think so.

It sort of resembles the Samaritan tech demo, on a smaller scale, I think.

Really impressive how much better UE3 has become on fixed hardware (consoles).

@consolitis: It is, imo. And yeah, the dark atmosphere with neon lights and wet road reflections is indeed similar to the tech demo Smile

@besthijacker: onlive..with your connection? Razz Enjoy some blocky stuff that vaguely resembles a batman game xD Laughing

Ended up buying both this and Anno 2070. I know beggars can't be choosers, and I've got no right to complain, but the scene has been taking its sweet time lately with the high profile releases.

What's the last gadget? I finished the story and now I'm cruising around hunting trophies, hoping to trigger the rest of the sidemission clues (all active, just need to progress).

Also, how do I break through walls that are not ground level? There are a few of these, and the zipline does not allow the usage of the gel. On a related note, there are trophy riddles that require three or more pressure plates to be used simultaneously. I have a feeling that the last gadget will help with that, but who knows.

A lot can be done by gliding through them, and the pressure plates, i think most are don't touch the floor at all, so work a path for them, done a fair few that way.

is the save system the same as in AA?

meaning is it impossible to replay a specific section(boss fight etc.) without starting from the beginning because of auto save and single slot save etc.?
