Hmm, alright, the game launches w/o crack, but now it doesn't read my savefiles, and they're in the folder.

^^Yes, it won't work! You cannot use Skidrow version save files!
PS: You can revert back whole process and play with skidrow stuff.

Well, with the legit version I get multiplayer and the Uplay bonus stuff. Plus, as I said, IMO the game is worth it.

This one combines mainly Ezio's and Altair's story and ends them AFAIK. Probably the Desmond stuff is explained at the end of the game or through Desmond's memories (which are unavailable in Skidrow version)
The full Desmond stuff (or another character) will be introduced in AC3, to be released next November.

I still have to complete Brotherhood before starting this one, and with all the unfinished games that I have at the moment I think Revelations will need to wait some months 
Ironically I'm postponing the game instead of Ubisoft

Um, what did I spoil? I don't know how the game ends, I didn't finish it. What I said is basically what Ubisoft's been saying since they announced it- it ends Altair's and Ezio's story. I don't know if they die naturally or they're killed or whatever happens to them, if at all.

I would like to find out those kind of things by myself.

but neon, what makes you like this game more than the other ones? it felt a bit samish as brotherhood to me, the story maybe? or the unique multiplayer?

Too bad, since I already did all the viewpoints, collected most chests, my whole guild was on 15th level (master assassins) and I had lots of challenges done so I got a great armor. 
Still, I think the game is worth it. It literally is my favorite AC to date, right after the first one.
I'd say:
AC > AC:R > AC2 >AC:B |
Ohhh nice, I shared Neon's views on AC1 so I'm excited about playing it. 
1 and 2 are still amazing. |

WTF has happend, yesterday everything was fine and when I launch the game now it seems to be updated and the crack doesn't work anymore.
What a noob crack by skidrow then if it's the case...
We must wait on a new one or play the game in offline mode then and lose all your saves.

A lot of things I liked in AC1 are here as well. For instance, when you assassinate somebody, it's no longer a one-liner from Ezio, they do the long talk a'la AC1.
Secondly, the story is much more serious now- again, like in AC1. It deals with drama, murder, treason and love. Obviously I don't want to spoil anything, but from what I've played it REALLY improves upon Ezio's character. He's no longer talking about boobs and asses all the time, instead he is concentrated on his task.
I also like how Ezio's more human now and we see more of his personal life(a "spoiler" from maybe first 15 minutes of the game) [sausje spoiler] for instance, he writes letters to his sister Claudia continuously and describes everything he does [/sausje spoiler].
And the story feels much more organized too, but then again- I haven't finished it yet (and won't finish it until I buy it), so I can't really say much more.
