It's not a joke, he's a member here who was giving away free Arkham City keys a month or two ago.

One of the members is proekaan and at the end of September he had keys to give away for the steam version of Batman: Arkham City. Luckily I was one of the people that received a key.

The Batman Beyond skin is kind of cool. Wasting cash on such thing would be retarded, but for free, it is nice. Very Happy

Oh, OK. Cool.

The funky crack seems to work. I had to add a virtual SCSI drive with Daemontools. It installed the SPTD driver, mounted image after reboot and got in-game.

Did you play Batman: AA? From what I've gathered so far (nope, still haven't installed the game!) it's pretty much the same, which means that you'll indeed get your ass kicked if you just go button bashing. That's exactly what made the first one so good; as simple as the combat system is, having to time stuff properly to keep your chain going whilst staying alive is what made it so awesome <3

Basically, the whole point is to not get hit. There is (or at least in AA there wasn't) never a situation where you *have* to take the hit; you can always counter or dodge - unless you miss-timed your previous move and are in the middle of a takedown or something Very Happy

Yea I got sort of hold of the combat. The HARD part is managing the counters during a combo or takedown ie when I cant just time it as it's necessary to not get hit.

Well, when you are surrounded by many people, you shouldn't be doing ground takedowns (during special moves you are invulnerable but they reset your "red combo" mode - however that's called).
I usually do a special if my fingers start to hurt in the middle of combos so I get a few moments of rest while he does his animation (and the bone breaking sounds, followed by screaming idiots are just great). Very Happy

It more likely by-passes it judging by the presence of a mini-image.

I'm very impressed with this game. There's a lot of very high quality content, the attention to detail is ridiculous. It's Arkham Asylum squared. It rarely happens that a sequel improves so many things while the original was already very good. Maybe it's the syle of the game, but it really makes me wish these guys would make a Riddick game.

I suck at those training missions though Sad I kick ass when fighting, but I suck when gliding.

I just finished the Museum part, and I'm already 10+ hours in. Doing Riddler stuff, sidemissions etc. And I finished only %25 of the main "story". This is shit is as addictive as Skyrim.

It really is a great game.

And aeonfast, I have good news for you! Rocksteady is planning on a trilogy, there will be a third game. Arkham Country? Laughing
