so far im enjoying it... combat is even better with double take-downs and situational ones (counter-attack near a wall can slam the guy into the wall, etc).. its fun.
BUT. my problem is scope. i think its just TOO much sandbox freedom. thats probably a stupid thing to have issue with, but i feel it kinda dilutes the atmosphere and story a bit... also i think the sense of freedom right from the start is a bit overbearing. SOME may love it, but personally i loved how bits of arkham asylum were slowly opened up so you got used to the open flow, and by the time it was all open to you, you had a sense of where things were in the world. but here, i just kinda thing its too much right from the start.
yeah most will disagree and thats cool.. its still a fun game with some cool improvements.. ill just have to wait and see when i get to the end whether its better than AA - but at the moment, im thinking i prefer the most focused style of AA to the open AC. THAT MAY CHANGE, these are just my initial thoughts 
PS - i really hope dx11 ends up having the same performance as dx9, because its running smooth as melted butter @ 2560x1600, with no stuttering or skips

If you don't like the freedom, don't do any optional side missions. Then it is just like the Asylum game, where you navigate a little terrain to get from one story mission to another.

nah its not that i dont like freedom, i just think the large open city, that initially looks quite complex, right from the start is a bit overbearing is all.

I was a little overwhelmed like chiv at first. Not anymore.. I LOVE the open city direction they chosen!

I absolutely adore the open city, more variety, less linearity (athough it's "optional" like Leo said), more exploration..it's like an Arkham Asylum^2 and I love it

I dunno.. My Internets skills are apparently weak at finding it if there is.
Interesting find.. Chrome finds the word Internets perfectly acceptable, it actually told me internets was misspelled and wants me to replace it with Internets.

So hows the performance for you guys? Since DX 11 is bugged, I'm using DX 9. All max, with Vsync it's 60 FPS, but sometimes stutters a bit and can drop to like 40 ish sometimes for a few moments.

Just make sure to tag Riddler trophies. You won't be able to reach them all, so tag them to have them on the map (or interrogate the green-glowing thugs, but that becomes progressively harder when they get more and more equipment).

Could not have put it better myself, just feels like things are not cohesive enough, each area feels disjointed, can't totally put my finger on it what i don't like, i know its a new game, had to be different enough from the first, and ofc had to be in a different surrounding, but thats what made the first game great being in the asylum. But yeah still love the game, but i get what you are saying and i do agree.

you have to do some main mission first. then the riddler is in churhc if i remember right....

when you see trophy, press and hold x.
Grabbing green dudes is pretty much the best part when you're done. It adds challenge when everyone around green is orange.  sneak up disable guns and then sneakily take them down \o/

I think the first Riddler mission is in the museum. And from then on, you just hold the detective button so it scans for stuff. Of you are near a trophy, or looking at it directly, it will be scanned and appear on the map.

I wish the riddlers riddles that require snap shots stayed on the screen for more than 10 seconds or even had a hot key for them to show up again
