Sound is out of sync here.. hmm.. I did turn off the Sounds hardware acceleration. Still out of sync. If I turn of the frame rate limit, it's more out of sync.. Whats up with the sound problems in this game?!

The sound have always been shit, every single GTA game.. Only the soundtracks are good

Try to turn the hardware acceleration to simple acceleration instead of turning it off. This fixes both the sync problem and the problems with missing sounds. At least for me.

most machines has the sound problems stated in gamespots review, wait for patch.

Aha! Thank you. I have a Audigy 2 ZS, btw.. If anyone have the same card without sound problems, please tell me. Then it must be a sounddriver issue.

I had a crash at the start of the game, but a simple restart of the game did wonders and it have worked since.
I seriously doubt that the crack is faulthy since the majority (a big majority) have no problems whatsoever.
My guess is that these people either have unstable systems or they just had random "normal" crashes.
People have a tendency to jump to conclusions as soon as something weird happens with their precious systems, and the crack is an easy target because god forbid, there cant be anything wrong with their precious systems, it has to be the crack! 
Btw, those on older cards like the gf4 series, install the good old 44.67 drivers. I honestly got a 15+ framerate increse going from the latest drivers to these old ones. I could only play in 800x600 and low before, but now I cruise around at 1024x768 and low + alot more on the viewdistance.
It's a well known fact that the latest drivers aren't that good for older cards like the gf4 since they aren't really made for anything else than the gf6 series, but the difference between the 44.67 and the newer ones are not this huge in other games. Just a small tip from me |
What you said would be valid with exception to the fact I already have 3 friends who bought the game but resorted to using the crack so they dont need to keep the dvd in, and they all crashed at least once at some point, since then 2 of them been using normal exe with dvd in drive and no problems. Remaining person been swapping crack and normal exe few times and crashed few more times only while using the crack. I know this sample is too small to conclude the crack causes the crashes, but something to keep in mind.

sound wise it was fine untill I got wasted came out of the hospital and no sounds, except for radio stations, my user tracks refuse to work and the lack of chase cam is making me dislike the game immensley

If you're having sound problems with a CLabs card, open the mixer control panel, go to advanced, and make sure that you have the correct speaker setup selected. I was running mine in digital mode with it set to 5.1 because I watch a lot of movies on it, but that makes games only work in 2.1 mode because CLabs is a shitty company that never bothered to do on-the-fly Dolby Digital encoding. At any rate, if the sound card thinks you have a different speaker setup than you really do, it will cause the cutscenes to not have any voice audio.
I haven't had any sync problems either, and haven't had to turn off hardware acceleration.

I got an Audigy 2 ZS aswell, and go no sounds problems whatsoever.

game is perfect here, just stop being lazy and try to figure out things for yourselves.

As i have exams and am not playing the game now, i can only guess, BUT
You can earn money by killing ppl on hte road, some of them carry money.
MP3s go in MY DOCUMENTS folder.

I'm getting bad slowdowns.
It is ok when you are in the hood but when leaving then it just drops.
And worst part is that it doesn't matter what resolution or level of detail I have, I still get the same results.
And how do you get your mp3s to play ??
I put them in the user tracks folder but all I get is bloody commercials.
