besides buying the game or a key is there a way to play online? isnt it the same method as MW1 where there were a ton of cracked servers or is that not possible because of steam ?

No cos the game doesn't have dedicated servers - it's like MW2 and whilst Alteriwnet was developed so ppl could play cracked on that there are no plans to do it for MW3. If you don't wanna fork out then grab MW2 and play that cracked instead - it's not a huge difference. MW3 is just like a new SP with a bunch of new maps for MP... ok for a tenner imo.

MW3 does have dedicated servers, they're just not ranked - which means no unlocks or progression, it's purely for endgame and professional gaming.

It's the singular reason I've not even considered buying a cheap key. If you want ranking and progression, you're forced into using matchmaking??? Fuck. That.

Yep, the laaaaaaaaaaaag is dreadful and the game is sadly being overtaken by hackers. I miss the dedicated servers we had on Black Ops. No lag, no cheaters.

~60 hours on BF3, not a hacker on sight (at least a real obvious one).
~40 minutes on MW3 MP, spotted 2 obvious aimbots.
