You'd think with something so severe as dragons flying backwards and resistances being negated, they'd atleast revert back the patch or some such.

Used VPN to activate the key and for download, once the download started you can quit the VPN, and restart Steam, game will resume the download.

To play, well back then was working through TESV.exe, now looks like it doesn't anymore. But that guy said you just need the correct steam_appid and works fine.

so how do you change the appid? i created a steam_appid.txt and put 72850 in there. doesn't work Sad

Yes - but there's also a purpose to them. Once you've done five (any mix of the listed) jobs in EACH major town, you're offered a special job which - once completed - helps rebuild the Thieves Guild. You can continue doing the side jobs indefinitely, but it's recommended to pull off 5 per town in order to start fixing the guild.

I hope that after rebuilding the Guild, I can finally lay off the bounty I have now in Markarth because the respective guards there won't accept any bribery attempts at all. I paid up my Riften bounty doing exactly that, but it's a blind alley in Markarth. Sad

Hmm might work if you get the game, you know with the VPN way, downloading etc, but instead using that .exe, someone with retail, region free gives you the .exe, should do the job? I doubt that 4gb fix have anything "hacked in"

So it might be the .exe, and ofc correct steam_appid.

Just bought, activated and played the game.

1 - Bought the key on yuplay.ru (16.21 dollars)
2 - Used http://usaip.eu/en/free_vpn.php PPTP Ukraine
3 - Activated and installed the game
4 - Run the launcher and set up the gfx and stuff
5 - Closed VPN and run the game using "skyrim4gb.exe"

PD: Without the vpn, steam won´t recognize the game as installed nor you will be able to run the launcher to set the gfx, so i recommend setting up the game before closing the vpn.

I would appreciate it if someone could share the steam_appid trick, if it´s still working.

I will post this once again:

a) You need to have RU or CIS IP, to activate the game
b) After that you can download the game with your normal IP
c) Last step is to create steam_appid.txt and to write this inside 72850
**steam_appid.txt must be in the root folder of the game (...Steam\steamapps\common\skyrim)**
d) Play either from Launcher (you will get achievements) or game's EXE (u will not get achievements)
