have an intricately designed ruined castle built, out somewhere in the middle of nowhere so theres no sounds of traffic or whatever the shit to bother me
to me theres just something so evocative about something that has fallen apart, to imagine it once living and new, and to see it destroyed by time, parts of it reclaimed by nature... since i wont live long enough for something like that to happen naturally, id be more than happy with just the visions conjured up by a 'fake'. im not someone who delights in the idea of destruction (you know, unless its gaming, and IM the one doing it!), but i just find it so visually appealing because of the above mentioned.
im imagining something like from the Witcher, Kaer Morhen... still quite functional, still so elegant and fantastic, and just seeing bits broken away, light coming in, or imagining it when it rains, and water fountains down... but id expand on it to, add more interesting places and more destruction to it, yet keep some rooms functional (like the big hall), and even a few rooms completely neat and liveable... can just imagine how awesome it would be to just walk around and soak up the atmosphere... would be the most epic thing ever.
thats what id get myself if i won this fantasy lottery.
also, imagine the parties you could hold in a big-ass medieval hall like that!
Now that I think of it, I'd split my winnings in three parts (the prerequisite is that I have large enough winning ofc, otherwise splitting wouldn't make sense): me, my mom and dad, and my sister.
Then with my part I'd buy a nice apartment, decorate it nicely, buy books that I'd read in my nice apartment and live out my life with my dearest friends, cooking dinner and throwing cool parties
Travelling around world would still be an option

thats true you know. newton didnt discover gravity. the apple told him about it, and then he killed it. the core was never found.
Buy a decent-sized piece of land fairly close to Oslo, build a top-notch apartment building there, give apartments to some folks&families I know that deserve a good turn, lease the rest to companies and charge them up the ass. Use the profits for maintenance and help people that need it.
see back when shakespeare said "The first thing we must do is kill all the lawyers,"(Henry vi p2) peeps didn't realise old bill was clairvoyant and knew that pretty soon all the useless shiny suited fat assed parasites on the planet, aka the politicians, would start off as lawyers.
Get the money and do it old bill shakespeare's way then you don't just get rid of the current crop of lying fucked-up humans, you rid the world of their replacements as well.
well if we're gonna get all serious about it I bought a block of land that runs along the coast of a purty island back in the 70's when such things were affordable for dingbats. Never did much with it it has an old cottage (no power but it always had a copper phone line in from back when telecommunications was a socialist enterprise and every dwelling was entitled to a phone) kids & life got in teh way, so if I 'won the lottery' I guess I'd blow the bucks building a stome mansion powered by hydro n wind n such. Then instead of pulling the curtain on the hills whenever I wanna get some serious gamin in, I could pull the drapes on a beautiful sea view. heh.
No I guess I could go back to spending the morning wondering whether to catch a crayfish or a reef fish for lunch n the afternoons snoozin lunch off -still dreamin of killin the lawyers/politicians/any rich asshole who wasn't me.
