R635 build of FSD out. No problems on my Xenon JTAG and RGH Slim I just did. Others reported problems to me, told them to update and/or full manual reinstall
I too wanna know how to get Samba use 360 I have a NAS device hoping that can be used via ConnectX plugin
FSD2 starts up the samba server when you boot ur 360. (if it doesnt just check settings), so all you got to do is check its IP address in FSD (press right stick) and browse it like a network device with ur PC
You get pretty much same speed as using FTP.
Doesn't tell me anything. Is there a proper way to do it? I guess you need to dump your nand somehow, and then what? This is my first glitched console, and the info available via google is sketchy at best, since a lot of it only pertains to old JTAG consoles.
You don't need to update for now, with an RGH box there really isn't any need for you to do that. But if and when you have to I assume all you have to do is run it through an usb drive.
I'm still playing Skyrim and even after that I still have abou 5 other games to go so I'm not in a hurry to update, but as soon as I find out how to do it, I'll post it here - if anyone else hasn't by then.
really fucking easy...
Just dump NAND, download newest easyfreeboot (saw gboot option being hadded), and choose your NAND dump and find newest dash and make the new image... flash with flash360. Done. However I dont know anything about the new dash, so if its not released/released now recently you have to wait for newer easyfreeboot.

AFAIK this requires a special chip attached to your 360 though, there is no other way to dump the NAND (or write a new one).
well, I dont know much about RGH glitch and how people dump, but its easy as hell on JTAG and would think it was similar way to upgrade. I really dont know the differense between gboot and freeboot but it can't be major

The matrix glitch hack does not have access to read/write the NAND, you need a separate circuit for this. The store that glitched my console for instance only installed the matrix glitch chip, not the nand chip, and should I ever need to dump/update the NAND I would have to have this installed as well. (So I guess I'd have to pay another €150 for that =/)
Yep. This is why I'm now taking some mini courses in soldering myself, hopefully I'll be able to install the NAND-chip myself in the future. Already did this thing:

That settles it, JTAG FTW! Because you can get xenon JTAGs pretty cheap these days.

I'm pretty sure that they just want to scam money from you... If you have your original NAND dump (the store that glitched your console should have given it to you) you can update the dash using raw flash in XeLL. If you don't have the dump, then you're fucked and you'll probably have to pay them again (you need it to build a new freeBOOT image).
I don't think that the glitcher used plays any part in the process...
Edit: cobALT posted a better and easier method that doesn't require the original dump...

So you can redump your NAND without any tools and then use that to create the new freeBOOT image even if you don't have a copy of the original NAND? Awesome stuff. Thanks cobALT, I'll fav that video for later use
Yup, seems that using flash 360 you can make a backup of your NAND. So if you don't have a backup, you can get it like that without reopening and resoldering.
The CPU and DVD keys you can get by powering the console using the eject button - just like the guy mentions in his video.
I know there was a way to get the needed files for update without all that hassle (some users stated that a few times, though I can't find the source) just wasn't sure how.
It would piss off those modders who don't give nand dump as this method is really easy to get ur original nand without opening the console and updating new dash
