|
 |
Audio in cut scenes work perfectly fine, but while ingame, sounds like
gunshots and whatnot are sporadically heard, and when people in your crew are talking, like when you goto the kfc in the 3rd mission or so and you have to stop the other gang from shooting up your hood, the captions
of what the people in the car are saying fly by extremely fast and theres no sound of them talking.
ok i guess it fixed it temporarily, its happenin again, any advice?

i had the same issue, its a bug in the game. updating my audio drivers did nothing. i turned down the audio hardware acceleration and that fixed it completely for me.

for me, it would lock up after about 10 minutes of gameplay, but when i turned off audio accelation completely, it stopped freezing, but I still have audio problems in game, audio tracks skipping around, and cut scene audio is out of sync. i updated to the latest drivers for my via ac'97 audio.

Crap bugs indeed, the retail copy is buggy itself according to GameSpot's review

It's tough to play when you can't hear your mission descriptions. On the third machine, loading up a save game caused a loud grating noise--which sounded like the bike-riding audio mixed with a helicopter--to scream out from the middle of the Grove. We had to hop in a car and drive away from the area to make the noises stop. Also, the cutscenes occasionally desynched from the audio, making the lip movement appear to be way off. |

I downloaded newest drivers from Realteks website and turned down Audio Acceleration to 'standard' and it's almost perfect audio now.
