This looks terrible, both controls & graphics... Team 6's games were always terrible and this is no exception...
What bugs me is: Why didn't they use at least the FO engine? Because this looks like their own game engine (without car body deformations).

Nice requirements, also 6970 is nowhere near of 590 performance. Think they pulled those requirements from their ass Very Happy

It's normal. The game uses a completely brand new and experimental type of blur that guarantees a realistic look. But it's obviously incredibly demanding, that's why it requires the most powerful cards out there:

OMFG i lol'd so hard Smile))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I ask Ronnie ( head dev at Team6 ) for more details about the damage in the new Flatout, here what I got back in an email this weekend:

"As for the damage, this is what we've got:
- Breakable parts for each car, ranging between 6 (the very minimum) and 30 breakable parts.
- Multiple, detailed damagetextures for each car-skin.
- Smoke, fire, etc when you're really really damaged. (all breakable parts also smoke / spark etc)
- And yes, wheels can break Smiley (i've sent an ingame recorded movie to our client to prove this is possible, he still doesnt believe it even after seeing this movie..)
And of course, for every major collision we've got the driver flying out, loads of car parts flying through the air, hollywood-like explosions, etc."

The game looks worse than flatout 1/2. Hell, it looks worse than most games from 2005. Why is anyone even interested in this? Neutral

There is a crack from ALI213 as well. It doesn't change .exe though.Only steam_api, Steamclient.dll

Edit: Works fine with ALI213 and graphics options work. The game is fucking ugly even on ultra and gameplay sucks even more.....This is not FlatOut at all.Uses only the name for dummies

this game is a bad joke. But some modes might be fun after some hard-patching (like the Speed and Nightshift mode). Optimization is horrible and its more like to parody to flatout than proper flatout game.
EDIT: after some digging i found that they are planning a lot of DLCs/patches to fix the game and to add the content so maybe it will be fine on next Xmas Very Happy

Just as I thought. No real-time body deformations then...what are they going backwards in development? Why didn't they license the FOUC engine (at least)?

FailOut: What The Fuck?!

Right, where do I start... the game doesn't even have an icon of its own. It's just an icon with a 6, which comes from the developer's name of course Laughing. The menus are absolutely stupid, badly made and chaotic, just like the game itself. The very stupid physics it has are all over the place. Forget about this being a bad racing game or whatever... it's just amazingly bad as a game, let alone one that belongs to a certain genre. Graphics... well, it looks almost as good as the first FlatOut (of course, if all the vaseline would go away). Quite an amazing achievement for these developers I say Cool Face. Good things about the game? I don't know, I couldn't stay long enough in it to find out because it's absolutely abysmal. Also, they completely ripped out the campaign mode, the tuning is gone (well, there are 3 presets: default, precision and another one for derbies I believe), the new cars that I've seen look stupid and I think there are some that are actually real. The locations are real too (well, the names at least Laughing ) and this is a bad thing. FlatOut always had made up cars and tracks and along with that an absolutely great style, unlike many other games that try that.

You actually want money for this, Team 6?! Fuck off!
