Guys how you doing...
I’m in the process of purchasing a car, however the price is highly questionable for such a awesome car... the guy says he has just moved to England and has to sell ASAP... his vin comes back clean ,but it could always be just a scam... he suggest we use a escrow service...this is the website:

Can any of you web whiz guys check to see when the site was made and if its legit??? as we all know eBay is littered with scams and dime a dozen escrow services crop up over night and close the next... so I’ll appreciate any help you ca n give me about finding out if this site is iffy or not...

yah this is FUCKED up beyond words.. this guy is nuts... wtf?? how can i lose then??? the money won't be rlsed untill i approve of the deall...
man i'v never been so scared... its 1994 built Supra twin turbo with 100000miles... i'm getting scared, i think he is actually real...

? how the hell is that comparable? this dude is selling the car for about 10-11 grand canadian.... that car is 29 grand and this car has lower Ks

Escrows in it self is not a symbol of security as the escrow company can be part of the scam. Look up on the escrow and if it is legit then do buy it? Cant you check up the guy against criminal records as you are a copper.

no i will get into shit if i use the RCMP records for private use... its wierd cus this is what it says on the squaretrade website :
"SquareTrade Never Takes Payment on Behalf of a Seller:
Scam emails will often request the consumer to pay via a money transfer service, such as Western Union or Money Gram, an escrow service, or by money order. BEWARE! SquareTrade will NEVER act as an escrow agent for a seller and will NEVER hold or transfer money on behalf of an auction or seller. "
so he clearly can use this to have me send him the money since they are not a escrow service, i offered to use escrow.com as a go in between , let say what he says...

i will KILL this guy if he scams me... we have our own OPP devision dedicated to online fraud... i'll get them..
but listen, if i use my credit cards, nothing can happen right, i mean credit company covers all fraud related problem...

Your buying this and you haven't seen it or tested it in a auto shop? What if it's all rusty and broken, engine faulty etc etc? I mean, it's less than a third of the price of that other one and got less milage? No matter if your lucky to get the deal or he's trying to scam you, be sure to check it out before you hand him the cash? It smells funny to me, cheap car, great catch, have to sell it really fast.. In my country the mortage on the car follows the car if you sell it, i dunno about where your from, but check that too if it applies? Would be funny to find out you got a $30/40k mortage to pay on the car *shrugs*

no mortgage stuff here... and he want me to give 4000 to a escrow service for him to pull his ads from ebay and cars.com and to come to US to sign over the car... i then get 5 days of driving time to accept the offer and authorise the money to be rlsed...

If it was me i'd make him play by my rules.. I'd want to chose the escrow service.. ono, you'll miss a good deal if he object to that? getting scammed for 4k doesn't sound like such a good deal to me-- i dunno.. If your in the polais then check it up with that scam department of yours? like, the escrow service and stuff

i told him to use escrow.com as the service and i said i will pay for all fees to make it better for him ... atleast with escrow there is no way of going wrong

do so. Gather as much info as possible on that guy.
Edit: You're right about the credit card companies covering frauds, btw. But 8 grand on a credit card? Better be ready to pay it ASAP if not the interests will eat your soul.

That reminds me, i got this super car for you to buy, it's only 8 grand and very very ultra super cool etc etc and so on and so forth, the thing is, you gotto pay real quick, like tomorrow as i'm moving to spain for the winter, but i will come to you and sign it over if you just fork over 4k in advance.. deal? ^^

hah i have no idea who is in OPP... OPP is a different police force in our city... they do online law enforcements, highways and issue licenses and shit, i'll go to them if i have a problem.. they are not a info center...
P.s metro police hates the OPP
