Fake it in what sense? You can use a hash code that doesn't correspond with the exe, but anyone verifying the signature will know it's not valid.

Who will you be releasing your code to? if you can install a certificate on their PC, you could add your root CA certificate as trusted CA, and then sign the code with that root CA. Code should appear signed and trusted.
Otherwise, you could break into VeriSign labs and steal their private keys. Sounds as viable as attempting to fake it.

You can use PGP (pretty good privacy) to sign a file with your own custom key if you want. However that key isn't certified and likely isn't what you are asking. There is no (reasonable) way to fake a certified key as that is handled by a third party.
