I took her out one time and she was ok with it. The second time I took her out she acted like and ass so I shot her in the head a ton of times and she finally died. Annoying.

ATI has been known to favour different chipsets, hopefully a new driver will come out real soon to address the issue.
But the blame must go to Rockstar primarily as this is deffinately a buggy game both audia and vga wise, i myself had a horrible reset problem for @ 6hours before i changed my nforce audio driver and vga driver to the latest betas, and now have enjoyed this fine game for the last 2 days without a problem. But the drivers i had were the latest official drivers, surely Rockstar must have tested this on an nforce/nforce2/3 (ver popular) boards with official drivers before releasing ??? So the ball really lies in Rockstars court as far as i'm concerned.

see the PS2 SA maps for guns and stuff (the gun stores wil open if you get past a certain mission aswell) ... theres a can of paint in the first save house up stairs

Well that is the only conclusion.
Look at our specs, he should run this game better then I do and I should run this game better then I do right now as well but we don't.
We have the same problem and the only thing we share is the same video card and we are not the only one. There are several others on other GTA boards with 9800 pro with the same problem.
Either Rockstar screwed up or ATi is to blame.

No it isn't because you could be downloading any file with bt and i guess it would still crash also since this is not a gta related issue it must be taken elsewhere. Thanks

Aait, so this game; its cool. But how the hell do you make serious money in it? I get jack shit from missions. Where the thell is the dough? It takes time beating up people for cash. And btw, where the hell is that spray-can?

This is sooo much better looking than the PS2 version, and runs great on my 9800 pro with 3xAA and Full View Distance (5.6 Cat), no sound probs either.

ati/rockstar problem i think ... mostly rockstar probably, as people definately have faces admitedly not that detailed but not as you describe

i have the same "white character no texture" problem with vice city, but only with 1 character. I believe it's something to do with the game or my sub-par interl extreme graphics 2
