And yep, flashed via Xell, which is like the 4th time i do that... But the 4th was fatal |
Is there some reason not to use flash360 on an RGH'd machine?
I've never used Xell to flash my JTAG. But, my JTAG has a cygnos V2 installed, and I did have to use flash360 a couple of times while I was either cleaning or rebuilding my main rig.

Weird problem. I extracted 2nd disc of Battlefield 3 to finally complete it's SP campaign and launched the game from FSD. When I went to start the campaign, it asked me to insert the SP disc, I select cancel and then it asked me to enter the MP disc. I mean what the fuck do you need the disc for?
Google'd around and found out the the XeX method needs both the disc extracted and whole lot of other drama to work. On the other hand, ISD2GOD would do the trick. I said fuck it and let's just install disc 2 from the disc I had burned earlier and just play from the disc. Now here's another surprise, I don't get the option to install the game to HDD via my standard NXE dashboard? I tried Arkham City and that had the option. I have been able to install BF3 disc 2 back when I was on 13604 dashboard. What gives?
I'll go for the ISO2GOD, but can anyone with the 14699 dashboard and BF3 disc, confirm if they have the option to install it on HDD?

what i did for bf3 was extract disc 2(game content) to external HD. to games/bf3
extract disc 1(hd stuff) to internal hd to Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/
so that makes Hdd1/Content/0000000000000000/45410950/00000002 to be precise(45410950 being the hd content folder)

I already had the HD content shoved into the Content folder and unlocked it via XM360. Converted the 2nd disc into GOD format and it works perfectly now. Not sure why it prompted for disc with the "extraction" method.

Well, as has been proven previously in this thread: he can obtain both himself, but it takes a little effort.

CPU key can easily be obtained from Xell's screen. NAND Dump can be retained using Flash360.

Okay, about to glitch my box but I need a hdd, what kind of external harddrive should I choose? Are 5400 RPM's fast enough or is 7200 RPM recommended? And do I need a harddrive with external powercord or just USB? Does it make any noticeable difference?

Fastest is SATA connected to the MOBO with 7200RPM and a good brand. However anything slower and using USB is still very usable.

So you don't need special tools after that.. ? Only reason for me doing a RGH is to be free ..no flashing , no discs and other security crap.. but at the end I don't want to use my DVD drive anymore..only for older games maybe..

Make sure if the modder has used the donor nand get the modified nand from him , also don't think booting games from sata vs usb makes huge difference I rather prefer usb since I csn plug it portable hdd anytime to pc and make modification.
