is it taking anyone else YEARS to load this pile of shit? And freezing up half the time? Fuck, I beat 2 other games, took a nap, and masturbated before it finished loading, then it froze up at verifying client bullshit whatever. Reminds me of that Soldner crap.

Seems an awful lot of people with similar problems, I don't understand it myself and I won't flood the forum, but if anyone comes across a fix for this please let me know.
I don't understand that file directory though, what does it mean? I installed it in my games folder, not on the root of the C: drive. Strange?

The debug-message says C:\dice\... because that's where the developers kept the sourcecode, and when they compiled it, the path was compiled into the debug messages so that they could easily find the file causing the problem.

Did that error occur after you tried to run the game with the Ti-Fix?

Looks like the original BF games in instant bot action from what I've seen.
BTW the Ti-Fix above doesn't work, as is actually expressed in the thread itself, it unfortunately stops short of loading the actual game and is instead only a fix to get the thing to start up the menu/title screen - after that it's a no go area (my screen just sat waiting for ages on the loading singleplayer portion thing).
Anyway, not a great loss, I'll just go play WWII online

Where is this unofficial patch, because if it's that link above - as I stated it doesn't actually work - and my understanding regarding the problem is that EA/Dice haven't implemented a shader in the game that our none DX9 compatible cards can run. I'm not hardware literate so someone can correct me, but I think that's the gist of things.

Nvidia didn't implement 1.4 pixel shaders in those cards because 'no game developers use them'...untill now, maybe they were right but maybe DICE could/should have thought about that
