No surprise there, usually the bigger corporation wins.
Hopefully it doesn't affect CDPR too much, financially I mean.

I doubt it has anything to do with "big corporations win" etc., they probably had a strict contract they couldn't get out of. As much as I stand beside CDPR, they broke contract. Hopefully with the WItcher 2 sales, they won't need a big publisher for their new release.

As if we can tell from here, completely divorced from the evidence, who broke what contract.
Since CDPR are a profit making business and they decided namco wasn't the best vehicle for the publication of their IP, I have no difficulty envisiging a scenario where CDPR believe namco didn't hold their end up of a bargain.
Unfortunately lawyers being the ignorant and greedy philistines that they are, it is highly likely that there are contracts between the two entities containing clauses that are completely at odds with undertakings in other parts of the deal.
The weird division of labour in mid-sized lawyers shops can cause obvious conflicts in undertakings asked and given within a single contract.
Caused by everyone going off into their own little corner& drafting up the 'best' contract according to the goals their division has been instructed to achieve.
When the seperate pieces are finally pasted together and the entire document is given to a senior lawyer to merge, the senior figure who also came up through specialist divisions, lacks sufficient knowledge of all the details to effectively recognise contradictions within the deal.
Then when the clients sit down to read the thing everyone is also too concentrated on the area of interest to notice that other parts of the document subvert the intent of what they want.
In these situations when no one is right yet everyone is right, it is usually the party with the deepest pockets who wins. They can afford to hire more specialist lawyers who understand the current thinking of courts across all ramifications of the deal. Then they just keep litigating until the other side surrenders, which if you read CDPR's spokesman when he said "he was "not satisfied" with the verdict, but was relieved the dispute is over." indeed seems to be what happened.

If a multiomillion dollar business is being fooled by lawyers and their contract drafts as you state, they're retards and deserve to be screwed over.

all i can say is meh.
cdp didnt seem to mind offloading their game to those fucking namco bandai assholes for distribution in regions they didnt care about for their pc release, and now theyre stuck with them for the console release. hope they realised that decision came back to bite them in the ass

The dragon was a bitch on hard... the trick (I found) was to hit it then run, drag the battle out. Don't go for any extended slashing sessions, hurt it, then flee. Repeat. Keep putting Quen on too. |
This. For me the hardest battle in the game (Hard) was the first one against Letho.

It takes a long time, but that's pretty much what you have to do.

The dragon has less(almost none) fire resistance compared to Leto(ironic?). Just Igni until empty, then just dodge until fully recharged, and repeat(*highest difficulty before 2.0 Dark Mode).
*Edit |
I actually found this to be very that a dragon of all things had a fire resistance which was negligible when compared to that guy.
1 and 2 are still amazing.
