Trailer:

Quote:
Cradle is a science-fiction first-person quest with freedom of movement. The story is built around the relations of the protagonist and a mechanical girl, who by enigmatic circumstances find themselves together in a yurt among the desert Mongolian hills. The player is to restore the lost functions of his companion's mechanical body parts and together reveal the mystery of the neglected entertainment park found not far from the yurt.

Quote:
“Our goal is to deliver the player a specific emotional experience similar to what we may see in a night dream, where our life is completely different from the real one, with its own past and present. Cradle is a strange beautiful dream filled with anticipation of discovering a deep old mystery” - said Ilya Tolmachev, the Creative Director and Founder of Flying Cafe.

Key features of Cradle:
First-person 3D-quest/adventure
Freedom of movement within the game realm
Unique game atmosphere formed by the combination of elements pertaining to various cultures and epochs
Multi-level context of the story
Highly-detailed graphics of the game locations
Increased density of unique interactive objects providing extra story details
Combination of classic quest mechanics with dynamic arcade puzzles
Specific system of displaying character emotions
Hidden objects offering bonuses to the player
Alternative game ending available
Game powered by cutting-edge Unigine technology.
The game is scheduled for release in spring 2012.

Quote:
Flying Cafe for Semianimals studio was founded in January 2011. Our team is barely a dozen people today, but all of us are professional game developers. Our portfolios include experience of working on such projects as S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Heroes of Might and Magic 5, Allods Online, Ascension to the Throne.

The mission behind our studio came out from the need to see games, where the quality of meaningful content would match the level of visual form. We want to combine the gloss of big-budget projects with the indie-games charm.

The name Flying Cafe for Semianimals is an imaginative representation of our mission. Fancy we are confectioners who treat semianimals (i.e. people, of course) in need of community of the likes with aesthetic delicacies. The flight and treats symbolize the novelty of form, while the community and care demonstrate our projects are full of content.

We plan to complete Cradle, our debut project, by spring 2012. PC will be our first launch platform for Cradle. Subsequent releases on Mac OS, Linux and portable iOS and Android-based devices are planned too.

When browsing for news on the game, make sure to check our official web-site www.flying-cafe.com, and also read our blog.

Thank you all for your interest and support!

didnt really like the teaser trailer. i mean iit didnt really give me a sense of atmosphere or even what the game is about... or even really its setting. it was just a mish-mash of locations and a really meh looking female character, and some live action shots thrown in for good measure.

and suprman suggests its a wasteland game, but the ending shot of all the water, and the generally 'peaceful' and unblemished look of the world makes me think it probably isnt...

like i said, too vague to get interested in. it might be a cool game, but as far as a teaser trailer goes, it didnt do much for me.

Only difference is this wasteland isnt post apocalyptic Wink the whole thing just has a sparse serene vibe about it.

Spot on.

And also I don't understand the deal involving - fixing her. She has a working hand that I believe is perfect for the job.

Wow at the trailer, I felt like a child again, this is how games should be, an epic journey into the uncertain with a simple quest So Much Win

Now let's hope this game actually turns out to be good. Reaction

So what's the whole point of the quest to rebuild the mechanical girl?

PLOT TWIST

It's to fuck her isn't it?

Like she has no arms and legs yet but once our hero finds her crotch, yeah fuck it. No need to go to the entertainment park and face various hazards and threats to find your missing limbs. You have you mechanical vagina and your mechanical ass. You're perfect as you are sweetheart. In a way, we've gotten rid of the unnecessary bits. Sure you might say, but what about handjobs but why the fuck would I want a handjob for I can do that myself you whore now take my cock
