Yes it's Steamworks, don't think there are any other versions other than using a cracked exe.

Unsure about future DLC plans, game just finished updating though but considering how other games have been maybe they just put a (nano) Christmas tree in Jensens office or some such. Razz

EDIT: Actually it updated both this and missing link, around 108 MB each.

EDIT: Some stereo 3D update actually, other than the redistributables only stereo_monitor.txt were updated.
(Still there's only four monitors actually listed in there though, shouldn't they make it more significant?)

Next, we are going to explain monetization with DLC after the packaged title release. This is something that some publishers in the West have already been talking about for some time. We have also been implementing DLC for main titles for about a year and half now. It is applied to Deus Ex: Human Revolution as well. In terms of revenue and expense, gross margin rate for DLC is higher than the packaged title sales, so the overall revenue cannot be pictured by just looking at the unit sales figures. While Deus Ex: Human Revolution offers weapons and missions as DLC, the main focus is the “The Missing Link,” an extra episode that fills the gap of the main scenario. As it has been achieving tens of thousands of downloads even though it was just recently launched, we are hoping to see it grow from here on out. As a number of titles, including FINAL FANTASY XIII-2, will have additional content via download from now on, we are considering shifting the direction of our company-wide strategy from concentrating promotion around the game's release to spreading promotion out across the business deployment of a project as it develops.

Postmortem: Deus Ex
By Jean-Francois Dugas, Martin Dubeau, David Anfossi, and Mary DeMarle

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a huge project undertaken by Eidos Montreal, to revive the Deus Ex franchise. The team managed to turn a lengthy pre-production process into later successes through the power of planning.

Has there been any news of follow up DLC? Or has the crew shunted over to Thief 4 full time?

No news other than what's already posted above and what I posted on the Thief 4 thread, that EM are working on Thief 4 + 3 unannounced projects (and we know that at least one of them is a new IP). Deus Ex 4 is probably one of them...
