So i bought this new fan (cooler master v and during the process i thought i had to remove the gfx card which i could actually let be, but it is so big i didn't want to take the chance. The little thing which holds the gfx card in place didnt want to open so i stupidly used a screwdriver to do it and when it opened i smacked the screwdriver somewhere, but i have no clue where and if i actually hit something vital. Now after this whole operation my computer randomly shuts off and i get low fps in Old republic and my computer just shuts down after a few minutes. First time it randomly shut down i had to plug out the power for the pc and wait a while before i actually got any picture on the screen.
Anything i can do or does this sound like a fucked up motherboard?
Sounds liek you may have just knocked the GPU mate.
Try remove the graphics card altogether and then just replace it firmly in the slot.
If you have a Modular PSU you should also check you have not pulled some cables slightly out
Make sure they are all firmly in there slots on PSU and components.
