Rofl, great one. Very Happy They need to nerf the javelin just a little bit, and buff the stinger a tad. Javelin should be rewarding to use as it encourages team play with soflam, but now it's just crazy. Stinger is almost useless unless you have a whole team full of em.

youre right i do like the team play aspect of the soflam/javelin pair. maybe im just a shitty pilot. i think sharqi is easy to fly in not just because of the lack of jets, but the terrain fluctuates a good bit. That and most of the fighting is in between buildings. there isnt any vast open areas in the map unless you are out of bounds. even if you get a soflam on top of a building, you can normally duck out of the way before its locked.

This.

Try it on Gulf of Oman, entirely different story. With a soflam on a roof top or in the construction site, you'll have a Javelin fired at you before you even reach the shore, let alone get a chance to take him out.

yea gulf is wide open and very difficult to fly on. i dont even get in a heli because of how much soflam can rule the map.

So the grip and silencer got quite a nerf...
Am I playing a god damn MMO or an FPS?!?!
Why the shit are they changing this crap so drastically when it wasn't called for (silencer and grip). THey should have just buffed the other attachments and let these one be as are. -.-

Well, with the new barrel and bipod upgrade I'll try out AN-94 with a 7xScope with a bipod and heavy barrel since it's quite good at sniping now as is so after the patch it will be awesomecakes at sniping.

What's annoying is that the suppressor will only be used on the smaller maps since you'll be unable to kill anything further away than 50 meters (I think). So that means that whenever a map changes you'll have to go in and redo your setup with your favorite weapon or have several weapons that are set-up to fit specific needs.

Ohh well, we'll see how this changes the whole game when it actually comes out.

To be fair, it says "changes (...) that might be making" their way into the game. It's not final yet. I read something about the foregrip maybe needing a nerf when a dev said the FAMAS needs a nerf or two; I think he especially mentioned it with a foregrip.

Can't wait for it! Surprised
Quote:
Bipod (Buffed)
The Bipod is meant for players who want to take the time to set up in a good position and defend said position or objective. It will reduce horizontal and vertical recoil (percentage depending on the weapon) as well as bullet dispersion (again, depending on the weapon and ammo type).
Awesome, campers rejoice while run&gunners get
Quote:
Foregrip (Nerfed)
The forgrip’s purpose is to reduce vertical recoil by 34% while giving a -20% penalty to base accuracy while aimed down sight. Generally, it should be used for close quarter situations when firing from the hip would me much more beneficial.

Woohoo! Rolling Eyes

I don't know where that info is coming from but I don't think it's from Alan Kertz. He has stated via Twitter in different occasions that the foregrip only reduces sideways recoil or horizontal recoil, whatever you wanna name it. I remember he once replied with that when someone asked him if using the foregrip would compensate for the introduced vertical recoil of the heavy barrel. The answer is no.

Just checked the game's description and you're right.
Please let it be a sign that none of this bullshit has the slight chance of making it into the game.

The article says the information came from Reddit, looking for the designer + reddit gave me that :

He's fairly active on reddit. (And yes, it's really him.)

That's indeed him in Reddit, but if you read what he posted it has nothing to do with the bullshit attachment descriptions they added in that g2play.net article. Way to tergiversate an official statement Laughing

Well, there is a large amount additional information on that reddit thread. I think these tweaks will work out for the best, it would be nice if you could actually grab a kit where you could feel differences instead of a generic bunch of unlocks.

Dumbest conquest server ever.

- "Play fair and honourable."
- No vehicles(fair enough, it's an infantry server after all)
- No RPG on infantry (which I broke as soon as I had 2 snipers two timing me and a team-mate from a building ~150m perched on 2 windows... remember that I couldn't use vehicles).
- You can camp anywhere(Exclamation), first they gave me some "defensive camping" bullshit and after I pointed out that people were camping all over the map, not just on their points some guy replies "well, capture enemy points by camping them and then conquer"

Mind Is Full Of Fuck
