Uh, actually they have. They've equally fucked each time zone with the downtimes. First downtime the EU got fucked, the next two after that the US got fucked. (4PM-8PM US time) And now the EU gets fucked again with this one.
So i'd say they are doing it just fine. If you have an 8 hour downtime someone is going to get fucked.
And lets be fair, most people in the EU are going to be working tommarrow anyways during the downtime.

?? maintenance is always at the same time??
anyway, split regions for maintenance would be the least they can do, servers are already split in eu/us. this game isnt free to play, for a subscription game they must do better. I also dont understand why server maintenance starts at 4am in us, midnight would balance the burden for both us/europe in my opinion.

split maintenance would just put queues on whichever servers are up.
And the latest downtime does start at midnight in the US, pacific time.

If a low level player is able to survive in a high-player area, I can hardly call it cheating.
I call it "bad coding".

obviously.
it's always retarded when a developer attempts to punish players for their errors as well.
there's a bit more psychology to getting players to do what you want in a game than most people realize, if they find out there's a quick way to do things, human nature ensures that they won't do it any other way, unless a better alternative is found.

Incredibly weak response. All they had to do was put a temporary level requirement on the most valuable chests until they could refine the system.
I loathe this kind of behavior. They made a system easily exploitable and it's not a glitch - obvious or otherwise.
Even if the game is worth playing, they deserve a big ass-kicking for this shit.

I didn't know using exploits (not hacks) in a game was a bannable offense. Aren't these paying customers?

Yeah. And the fun part? After you get banned, you can't cancel your current billing, so they still receive your cash.

It's a fucked up way of solving the problem, but to be fair - you don't get banned right away, they send you a notice first. A ban comes only if you still do it afterwards, so everyone who got the banstick knew what was coming to them and can't really blame Bioware for stealing their gametime. I'm not defending the practice itself, though. Not the wisest of choices, that's for sure.

well, exploits are always banable.
what exploit means is to use a game mechanism in a way that is not intended by the developers, and gain profit from it.
is obviously that dance to cancel casting is not the way they intended.
but is retarded to ban people over this shit, and say that dance is allowed only in xxx place.
if is allowed just there, disable that damn thing from beginning in all other places.
any mmo will ban you for abusing an exploit.
do it once for fun, but stop there.

not addressing the bugs in patches or hotfixes is their fault. people paying a subscription to play and enjoy themselves shouldn't be punished for the laziness and stupidity of others.

Well there are different kind of exploits. Exploits like this dancing shit are minor and can easily be patched. No need to send out warnings and bans. Other, major exploits, like duplicating epic items and the like (which influences heavily other players), should get faster patched and warnings are considerable, but no bans. Its not the players fault in first place, and its only human to use ingame mechanics...
EA just has a too big ego, like Apple.

they should learn something from others or they'll end up with this mmo like other companies did. they either respect the players or they'll loose them and the game will be forgoten in a matter of months. (which will probably be the case here)

Imho you're getting banned for abusing every single mistake they made. That's a whole different story imho. Ofc, all the exploiters are playing the innocent card. The bad thing is, the majority seems to believe their shit at the moment.
Maybe it's the frustration and hate against EA/Bioware, who managed to build it up over the last few years. And now everyone is shitting on them.
Oh, and btw, I see those exploiters (especially the chest resetters) everyday. And you must be an complete asshole if you think this is totally okay to do
So, imho, serves them right. Good riddance.
PS: This dance emote spamming bug, totally legit and intended. Let's abuse the fuck out of it. I mean it's in the game right?
PPS: Oh, and I'm not defending the shitheads of EA and Bioware in any way. They should patch those loopholes immediately instead of just talking. Cause people are assholes. But I hope abusers still get banned. Like Blizzard did with the Raidfinder bug. Abused by all those so called pro-guilds (which abused almost everything in WoW history, C'thun, Nefarion ramp ect..) but never got busted for it. They they played cocky and "booom!". Blizzard fucked them up. Loads of those guilds were outraged because they were sooo innocent. It's in the game right?
And finally they got destroyed. One of those guilds switched to SWToR and what happened, most of them got caught abusing the (too) well known bugs too now. And again, they are totally innocent... the whole matter is just pathetic and some people seem to need to cheat at all costs...
I miss the good old competitive E-Sport times. It wasn't so frequent back then.
