And all of the free XBLA you can handle too! Except for XBLO games (or whatever they are called...hehe xBLO, nice.)

Anyone that burns more than 5-6 games a year should definitely get a JTAG/glitch.

I was burning way more discs than that ( maybe 3-4 a month , even more sometimes ).. Laughing and I spent a small fortune.. this is the ultimate solution for offline players and you even get XBLA and DLC goodies , best 60 euros ever spent. Very Happy

What I'm looking for is a kind of "dual nand" solution, but most guides i find are incredibly fragmented...

So from what i figured, you dumped your nand using jtag method, program and install a coolrunner or other glitch app, but then... how do i get FSD on there? how to i get a "usb loader"?

I'm sure with a bit of serious reading i'll be able to understand it all, but im a bit lazy in that regard Smile

So this is what I've done:

1. Dumped my NAND using Flash360
2. Loaded the NAND into XeBuild
3. Genterated a hacked NAND with GGBoot (Glitchboot) with the Xell-Reloaded option, without dashlaunch included selected dash 2.0.14699.0
4. Put it on my USB (with Flash 360)

AFAIK all I need to do now is to insert the USB into my XBOX and use Flash360 to flash the NAND.

Is this a correct procedure?

Yes, yes I'm back.
Somewhat.

Sounds very right, but wait for a reliable answer Very Happy

I used Flash360 when I upgraded my dashboard without any problems. But iv heard people here say Xell is more reliable for flashing, but im not really sure. Flash360 have not let me down...

I can't help you there mate , my console was glitched by a modder... I only learned how to use software , FSD is on my external drive..I just unpacked it there.

Maybe this will offer dual nand solutions..but nothing is confirmed yet..

Should be good to go. But i have only ever used original nands. I have always used flash360 and its never failed me. And if you get the error " Warning this Nand is not Zeropadded" you can ignore it. What i found anyways as i always get that error on flash360 (With my latest jasper anyways), but my updates have always worked. I have also never updated to the metro dash, but that shouldn't be an issue.

While, I haven't tried this yet, I'm pretty sure that it works just like my JTAG with a Cygnos rev. D.

http://www.cygnos360.com/forum/index.php?topic=3147.0

Just keep in mind that you will have an external switch and/or light for switching back and forth.

Are you talking about those 2 uper/lower blades that show you the temp, HDD space and network stuff? If so, just pres the right (or left, I can't remember as I don't use FSD that much) stick and it should pop out.

Hey, since I ran out of 68nF caps, I was wondering if any of you electronics gurus might be able to tell me what value or values I could use in series to simulate a 68nF cap? If I can't, then I suppose I will just have to wait until I get some more in, in about a week or so since there aren't any good electronics supply stores where I live... Fucking Oklahoma, buncha fucking backwards retarded hillbilly dipshits...

Yeah, I tried using a 100nF last night and it didn't hardly improve the boot times.

Finally glitched my Jasper two days ago, I must say everything went better than expected, used the Xecuter Coolrunner board and included cables, no additional capacitors or any weird stuff, console boots instantly (2-3 seconds) only weird thing is that one boot out of 5-6 fails, ie: it doesn't boot, but it's hardly a problem, just press the power button and boot again and it works.

Boot fails can be completely normal. My Jtag that has original wiring fails once every now and then.

Did you run the wires just as in this illustration?
 Spoiler:

Or did you use a different wiring schema? I'm beginning to think that these Jaspers are a bit like most women, they don't really want to work unless you threaten to use a hammer on them...

Not exactly, I used an alternative, much easier point B on the board's back, maybe that's the issue. But I really don't care, it a very minor annoyance, not really worth mentioning in fact.

Actually, it is worth mentioning. I'd forgotten about the alternate B point! Thanks!

So, just curious, are the RGH-JTAGs at the same "level" as the first JTAG:ed consoles? Or are they better/lacking some features? I already have two "regular" JTAGed 360s, but would be nice to know, I have friends who are planning on maybe getting one, and it seems like there are only RGHs for sale nowadays..

The only plus side that i can see with RGH console's is if you do it to a Slim console, Slim console's being newer and supposidly more reliable than phat's.

Down side that i can see is that they can take longer to boot up.

Feature's wise, i think they're on par with each other.

Good news for anyone that hasn't glitched yet, it seems there's a new chip coming out, called XAIO360:

Main differences from other chips seem to be:

-All-in-one solution: it's both a NAND reader/flasher and a glitchboard
-Built-in oscillator, no need to wire it to the HANA chip, which results in only 4 glitch wires on phat and 6 on slim (plus usual 7 cables for nand read/write
-Can be programmed via USB (no need for parallel port programming cable or expensive usb-jtag cable to program)

Full features list:

how is this better for user end point of view ? it seems (and i dont know anything about this stuff really) that this is easier for the modder, but for the user, end result is same as having a rgh, am i understanding this well ?

was hoping that a chip using an external oscillator would allow xenon and corona support.
