Hi people. Didn't find any Azureus Thread, so I will post my Problem here.
When I start downloading some files, Azureus is pretty fast... I reach constant 115KB/s (DSL1000). But the problem is, if I minimize Azureus and play a game like GTA Vice City, or any other Game, the downloadspeed decreases heavily. What can I do? Do I have to change the settings in Azureus to NOT slow down, when I want to play games?
My current settings are:
Max. 8 outgoing connection tries
12KByte/s max upload (I have only 128 Kbit upload )
110KB/s max download
Max 3 uploadconnections per torrent
Max 300 connections per torrent
Max 400 globalconnections
...
There are so many other things configurable... Damn...
Here are infos about my computer:
Athlon Barton 3000+, 512MB RAM, 2x40GB Seagate HD
Is this problem a general Azureus failure, or do I have configured the settings wrong?
I'm using Azureus 2.2.0.2 .. I know, there is Azureus 2.3.0.2 out, but it doesn't work for me, so I'm still using 2.2.0.2.
Hope that you guys can help me!

Made in Java, so as weird0 says it uses a large amount of CPU for a BT client. When playing games it wont get all of the CPU it needs to handle connections and will thus slow down.

Azureus is a total crap... wouldn't recommend it to anyone.
I like BitComet... simply, but "advanced" and uses much less CPU.

I'm not 100% sure...but I think that BitTornado is going to be the least cpu intensive client out there. It doesn't have the que system...but it's not going to eat up your resources either.

BitTorrent generally uses high amounts of CPU power simply due to the nature of its constant checksumming. Azureus is a heavy weight when it comes to this not only due to its total dependency on Java but since it is by many considered bloated.
I cast the second vote for BitComet.
