After tonights raid, i can say that the rogue change was AWESOME for me. 51mm 15ranger is the way to go now.
Heh. I have the build ready for raiding in Sunday. Just about to pick up my second piece of raid armour so a while until i get the 4 opiece bonus from synergy crystal, so wonderring what my results will be.
I'll likely parse it before then anyways to see. And I still have my sab set-up just in case.

I should bloody hope so. Lol. Not had a chnac e to try it yet, never did much tanking on my rogue, but on paper looks far easier to manage and possibly slightly OP.
so i tried to log into the website cause a friend said you can claim 4 days of free play, now i suddenly need to provide answers to secret questions i dont even remember filling in.... what a fail making you answer those when nothing is even changed on the account.

you are mistaken if I am reading right.. I rolled a rogue 2 days ago, im 42 using bladedancer, riftstalker and assassin.. And believe me the rogue IS flavour of the mnth.. so its not thankyou vey much really, its more thankyou rift devs because its a blast to play the rogue
Not keen on the stupid pig agro pet the ranger soul gets, but i bet a 51 marksman soul is not so bad right now eh?

Hell no, 51mm 15 ranger is awesome, just check my dps on our last bosskill last night
The boss even gets a buff with wich he takes 75% less damage from ranged/spell attacks.
btw, been rogue since day 1, cba rolling another char tbh.

Well Hammerknell is more or less quite interesting, some good fights in there.
But its kinda like WoW, abit more refined tho when it comes to the fights itself.
just grab a friend and ride the easy questing mode in rogue format lol..
Questing is even easier as duracell or a rb / pally / reaver dps / tank hybrid.
Rogue as stealth, which actually slows levelling when used as mobs are a big part of the XP gain, but other classes do have better survivabilliy PVE at lower levels.
Been looking high and low, but can't seem to find it, is there no "come back promotional"?
I bought the game at release and played the first month and haven't subscribed since, other MMOs often have an option to send a couple of days of free game time to an inactive account.
I guess i can make a new account and take the 7 day free trial if there isn't.
Ok, a question for you First World people with credit cards. I'm thinking of buying the digital copy of the game, which includes a free month, since it's really cheap over here. However I don't really want to have to pay for a game card just yet. Will I be able to activate the account with the credit card number generator trick that works with other MMOs? Or should I just get a game card and hope I don't get bored of the game after 5 days?
You don't need creditcard to activate your account... you can just go pure for the 1 month without adding a payment method.. (unless they changed it since i watched last time)

1. They kind of need to store credit card information to actually bill the subs, it's a recorring fee. Hence they store however encrypt half of the number for security. It would be very hard to NOT save these things and still debit the recurring fee. In fact downright impossible.
My guess would be not fully encrypted as its also used for identifying customers in customer support scenario's, but encrypted enough to make it useless info.
2. There is no system in existence which is connected to the internet and can not be broken. They can only be made more difficult to break. It got broke, they've toughenned up. Straight forward enough. No matter what they've done to beef up security they can still be broken again if someone is determined enough, that's digital life.
Unless you consider guessing the password breaking in, there are plenty of unbreakable systems around. It's very possible to make an unbreakable system if you're careful how you design and develop it. The only reasons systems are breakable is that the developers leave holes in them. There is no reasons for those holes to exist, except that they are mistakes of the developer. That is, mistakes of Trion, or who ever created their security.
