USA is the land of the fee(s)! Fee for this fee for that... also, people are paid so shitty that they need to rely on tips. Well thats why scandinavians that don't travel much are looked upon as cheap because next to noone tips in scandinavia because its not needed

Huh? Only certain jobs where 'tips' are the norm are paid less then average - But thats because they make it up on tips, as tips are the norm in the states. A waiter can make decent wages.

From what i've seen it really varies on the state. Virginia for instance recently made the tip wages illegal so all people make minimum wage regardless on top of tips. I still try to tip well when I can however.
