Minor spoilers about 2 other bosses that I know of, that can kill themselves:
Spoiler:
Ceaseless discharge will fall of a cliff if you run all the way back to the fog gates.
And ash lake hydra will try to chase you on solid ground and will instantly die
I am very close to the end, beat 4 kings, seath, and sito. Now I am in demon's ruins and this place sucks. Had a shitty time outrunning those giant dinos, not only thanks to their size but because of the lag this game has whenever you are near liquids. Actually managed to beat the centipede monster on the first try and no thanks to the npc spawn. Dumbass just ran into lava and got smashed by the boss.
you dont need an ally to beat smough and ornstein.
focus on ornstein and only attack him with smough behind him.
the trick is to keep both of them in a line in front of you so you dont get sideraped.
try to move up to them to provoke smough into lauching an attack, while he s recovering stab ornstein in the face, again and again.
after he s dead and super smough is left, keep away from him and circle around one of the broken pillars. when he does the jumping hammer attack, evade then attack him with a heavy blow, then retreat behind the broken pillar.
rinse and repeat, be patient, DO NOT RUSH even if he has only 1% hp left (this applies to all enemies in demons/dark souls) and you should do fine.

So true, I died so many times because of rushing down and out enemy. First time I encountered armored warthog, I thought id be all smart and just use my firebombs from the top. I got him to so little health, that his health bar appeared to be empty and I decided to finish the job with my sword instead of wasting one more bomb. So I jump down and land on a fucking firepit, at which moment the hog rushes me, throws me in the air and promptly stomps my ass. Let say the next time I bought shit load of firebombs and just buried him in those.
Nice gif I don't know how many times I've died that way. I must find the strenght to finish this game.
Crystal caves are killing me. I don't know why, even if i know the path to the boss, I've got an insane fear of falling, and every time I have to traverse the entire area walking only to get raped by the boss
You end up spending a lot of your time in Dark Souls dying. Being stabbed, burned, crushed, bludgeoned, whatever. So this custom rig for the game, built out of a coffin, seems wonderfully apt.
The coffin was built for a competition run by publishers Namco Bandai in Australia, and features a big LCD TV, surround sound system and space for either an Xbox 360 or PS3. It's also padded throughout, meaning you can recline and play inside the coffin, just as the game intended.
Ive finally finished all shorter and easier games like batman or rage and I am upon starting this one finally.
I am scared. I know I will fail miserably:lol: But as said few pages ago - if this games resembles Blade of Darkness at least a little bit, then count me in as Ive finished severance with pleasure. Ive red all comments and reviews so I know what to expect and a good challange and andventure days conserving adventure might be what I (dont we all?) need with all those mainstream games around.
Who to start with? I am usually playing rpg games as warrior with shield.
damn... I am not sure If starting this is wise thing with Skyrim on horizon
btw. Cool coffin... I want one?

Pyro seems to be the easiest class to start with. Get cool fire spells and decent gear. But all classes are viable. Knight seems to be right your ally. Gets a great shield that blocks 100% of damage and quick enough. But after a few levels it really does not matter what class you started as because you can shape any character in whatever way you want. And I would recommend avoiding spoilers or reading walkthroughs, half the fun in this game is discovering everything for yourself.
I finally finished and the last boss was tough. I thought he was tougher than the king in DeS. His attacks were relentless and very quick that take away a huge chunk of your stamina (my endurance is 45 btw). Finally was able to defeat him by using iron flesh and killing him in one cast. The ending was wtf though. I lit the bonfire and everything caught on fire. So far I am breezing through NG+, and funny enough died twice by simple mobs that were not even a challenge before, though I was trying to rush.

Hard to explain but it just doesn't work. You are supposed to "spread missery" to 3 random worlds and drop an invasion sign for those 3 worlds to invade you. But thanks to the partly broken online system it never works properly so you are just wasting eyes of death.
Eek that sounds bad! Is that for PS3? I'm guessing they released the patch for both consoles?
I completed it on PS3 and while there was constant slowdown in a large part of blighttown it was pretty rare elsewhere. Also it didn't actually hinder me anywhere and was only a slight annoyance among all the awesomeness in this game.
I never had any occurrence of the FPS dropping to like 5 or something unplayable like that throughout the 60 or 70 hours I spent on this game.
