so is no one else playing this anymore? im still playing it and i really enjoy it. customisation doesnt seem as great as it was in sr2, but the scenarios are enjoyable, the dialog is fun, and the driving and combat works crazy well... thanks again vryder Smile

making my way through the last couple of activities before i continue with the story.

it kind of slams the door in your face if you don't actively AVOID doing missions, so honestly, the amount of people playing it is probably extremely low if not just about nil.

We're not playing it anymore because most of us kind of finished it. It's better made in some regards than SR2, but it's just half of what SR2 is. Even with its abysmal PC port, I enjoyed SR2 more. I can't understand why they removed some things. There's also a lot of DLC planned so they're kind of like BioWhore now (unlike them at least Volition added stuff too...).

http://www.saintsrow.com/news/detail/article/252483/tf2_joins_saints_row:_the_third!

Quote:
January 17th is shaping up to be a pretty big day. Not only do we have Genkibowl VII, the first Mission Pack DLC releasing that day, but we also have CheapyD's free homie add-on coming to every platform as well. while those two are for all platforms, this new announcement is for those with a Steam copy of the game only.

After a fair amount of back and forth with us and Valve, we're now ready to present the final chapter in our cross-promotion with Team Fortress 2. For those unfamilar with this, if you had pre-ordered TF2 on Steam, you received Killbane's Mask and Apocafists for the Heavy, and a special Third Street Saints Badge for every character. But that got us thinking about the best way to put TF2 into Saints Row: The Third, so we've come up with the following.

Beginning Tuesday, all players on Steam will receive the 9 custom TF2 giant-sized character masks to use around the city of Steelport. Be it the Heavy, the Scout, the Spy, or any other member of your choosing, you get to streak around naked, beat up pedestrians, and hit those big stunt jumps with the character of your choice. These items will be added to the game the same way as CheapyD's homie, through a compatability patch, so there's nothing extra you need to do to get these. Remember, these are exclusive to the Steam version of Saints Row: The Third.

Me Gusta

Take that console owners! Now we can have our own exclusive to our version DLC "skins" Very Happy

That update is out now, unsure if it does something or if it's just DLC compatibility.

EDIT: Seems it just added DLC support.
(Seems it added most of the DLC files.)

Saints Row The Third has IMO one of the most catchy main menu themes evar:

I could listen to the first 30 secs over and over again. Cool

Cool game, but it didn't seem overly "crazy" to me at all

It's not that it's the craziest thing you've ever seen. It's that it's crazy while also having genuinely good and funny writing.

just trying to FINISH the game (all activities n shit), and i have 3 cars left to steal, and one of them is a tank. tanks handle like shit, are slow as fuck, and its a pain when the army brings out their own tanks to fuck your shit up.

ah-HA! i thought. id be clever! id snag a tank, then dial up burt, and wipe my wanted rating and just merrily trundle to the drop off point. fuck yeah, i am smart!

so i do that.. second i get off the phone to my good buddy burt, a cop car slams into the back of my tank! now i have a wanted star. FINE whatever. its annoying, but its just one star.

apparently the sight of a tank freaks civilians out, who all now start RUNNING INTO THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD RIGHT INTO MY PATH! (fuck, its like im playing battlefield 3 or some shit, amiright???!!). squish, squish, squich.. now im on TWO stars. squish and then smash when a car just cuts right infront of me, THREE STARS.

now the cops are coming at me...a couple more squishes and a cop car dented, im up to FOUR STARS FOR FUCKS SAKE. i say fuck this, IGNORE my shitty gps (which wants to take me on a ludicrously long path) and just try and go up a little bank to the airport. 5 stars now, just as a rocket flies overhead.

humorously, the gps wants to take me down ONE side of the runway, do a u-turn at the bottom, and come back up the other one to get to the drop point. i say screw that and just drive straight there, and lock the tank up. yay. 2 cars left to go!

---

and finished. everythings done, 19 homies out of 30, about half jumps found, and only like 5 barnstorming locations found, but everything else done, and thats good enough for me Very Happy
