Downloaded the RELOADED-release since I wanted to play this again (played it on X360 around the time it came out). Applied the 1.01 patch and crack. And the game won't even start, crashes instantly (APPCRASH) when I double-click the exe. It also shows two crash-messages.

What I've tried after Googling for fixes:
- Set my native res in the TdEngine.ini
- Running the game in compatability mode, both for Win 2000 and XP
- Tried running with Disable visual themes etc.
- Set some MaxFloatingPoint (or whatever it was) value to 1, which came up as a fix for some.
- Removed the PhysXLocal-folder within Binaries, removed PhysXCore.dll and PhysXDevice.dll

Still won't do any difference. So anyone know of another possible solution, or am I forced to just uninstall and forget it?

Hmm really strange, same thing happening with other UE3 games?

Using FXAA/MSAA inject? Forced settings thru your gfx CP?

See if this applies to you aswell: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showthread.php?t=788621

Got framework 3.5 installed?

I don't think I have any other UE3 games installed..

Nope, vanilla game, no mods or forced settings.

.Net 3.5 installed. Done everything in that Steam-thread EXCEPT installing older drivers, which I'll never do for just one game..

Older drivers shouldn't be the case tbh.

You on nvidia i presume? Because it you are on AMD i know for sure that it should work with current drivers, as i recently played it.

But i really don't know then tbh, APPCRASH can be related to alot of things...
Got anything more specific about the crash? Log or such?

Wouldn't think so, since I checked "Disable visual themes" so it reverted to Windows Basic before it launched, same thing..

I have three connected, but at the time I was trying this they were both disabled (I'm 99% sure, I know one of them was because I enabled it later that night). Also, my main monitor is connected by DVI. Only my projector is connected by HDMI but it was (I THINK) disabled at the time. Will check tonight, and even try unplugging them Smile

Thanks for the help so far guys, especially you sausje Very Happy

Try PhysX off (Not ideal I know).

I have some notes from when I was trying iZ3D - that's what I have for Mirrors Edge.
