Heineken is fucking piss, one of the worst beers you can get from NL. The only reason it's so popular is because it barely has flavour and is as easy to drink as lemonade
Perhaps in NA you guys can't handle anything heavier, would explain the popularity over there (which is way, way bigger than it is here) |
Three Floyds, Hoppin frog, Rogue, Southern tier, Founders. All American and all make some massive stouts! USA is a really nice place for stouts as far as I know, and I would rate that as "heavier" than a Heineken(Which really doesn't taste of much, but thats the Pilsner in a nutshell).

Ya I guess it's a matter of taste wether you like a pilsner or not. If I want light beers(as in colour) I would choose an IPA or a nice Saison.
I was actually looking for a nice Rum the other day but it seems that prices are almost twice as much in Denmark compared to Germany. That kind of put me off.

Start looking for Pilsner Urquell and if luky Czechvar (the real Budweiser) or Krušovice for a czech. Americans own are brands like Trumer and Blue Paddel.
Or Belgium as in the Hoegaarden or Chimay. But you already know of Saison Dupont I see now.

Ok u whores stop derailing my thread with ur alcoholism! Secondly I love Heineken, want me to beg for forgiveness cause I don't agree with ur taste? Alcohol is a waste to me anyway I work out daily so alcohol is not a helpful substance to me so it's rare for me to have any.

Brewed differently, biggest difference is that the malt is roasted and you can taste that as well. Much stronger flavour but not necessarily bitter. It's like with coffee, a cup of coffee made of proper roasted beans tastes a lot stronger compared to your average cup. Whether you like it is quite personal of course

Food:
Find whatever you can eat in the fridge that hasn't passed the expiration date, slice it, mix it all together with 6-7 eggs, add ketchup. A real man's dinner. Enjoy!

The man with the 20000 posts is always right.
As to your question why people drink mass produced piss?
Because marketing works, its just that simple.

meh cant really help u much without knowing ur skill level and how much effort u wanna put into it...
i once made a 3 course thing,
appetizer was deep fried calamari, i bought the calamari, cut into rings, or sticks or whatever, batter in beaten egg mix and tossed in flour with a bit of bread crumbs... then deep fried till golden... its honestly really really easy and extremely hard to fuck up... OR just get the frozen kind and oven it or deep fry it lol garnish with lemon wedge and parsley, add dipping sauce (i like feta ranch, blue cheese, ranch, spicy mayo)
main course was chicken stir-fry. just get one of those big deep round Chinese pans, cut up a very small amount of onion, few pieces of garlis and add some olive oil and fry till slightly golden, throw in bunch of skinned cleaned strips of chicken breast, fry till white enough to be sure its cooked (only takes few minutes if that.... add some soy sauce, toss in baby green peas, green pepper cut ups, and bean sprouts... toss all for a minute or so.... then add ur egg noodles (they sell in Chinese stores in refrigerated section, but also have it dry where u have to boil and drain first like spaghetti, but the refrigerated one i just rinse with hot water and add) and toss em all up, add some more soy sauce as desired and BRAPPPPPPPPPPPPPP u done...
i aint good with deserts so i bought those cake batter mixtures from the store where u add eggs and crap and u mix well and put in pan and then oven.... very simple cake but i guess the effort was what counted.
