Erm what exactly is the point in that? the file you mention is about 50 meg.. so its still not going to make it a dvd 5 is it?
Ive unpacked the iso and can see no way other than renamin some of the audio files (replacing large ones with smaller ones) which im loathe to do..
the language files are fairly small as it is
However im giving your idea a go, thanks for the info |
It's just over the amount for a DVD5 so deleting the dashupdate.xbe makes it the right size. I got rid of the update.xbe as well. Works fine.
It looks nice but the controls just aren't the same as on the N64.

well the game has very nice graphics and it is funny but game play seems kinda of dated and only mediocore over all played it for 1 and a half hours dont know if ill go again on it until ive finished GTA:SA but then destroy all humans will be here
As for framerate, the 360 version runs smooth, while the PS3 is a jaggy mess that chugs along in slow motion.

Been playing it for a bit, those who have a modded xbox should grab this, equally as good and funny as the original with a few added twists in it. A rare charmer and defently up there with the N64's best 5 games. Now all we cab hope for is the new Perfect Dark game ...

You don't need to repack anything after deleting dashupdate.xbe and update.xbe, just burn it in Nero using udf/iso.
If you hate it, ignore it.

As for the graphics, yeah top notch the Xbox still has alot of life in it in my opinion sometimes I wish PC games would follow suit with what console games do and use bloom effects a little more to compliment/mask what are fairly basic textures. |
its amazing what can be squeezed out of a console. because of the set specs developers are forced to write better code, you get the feeling that making a pc game is a lot lazier because they can just throw a load of powerful hardware at the game to make it look better and set the system requirements higher, with a console they can't do that and have to keep improving. compare early PS2 games with more recent releases, like GTAIII to Vice City to San Andreas, definite improvements between each game in both graphics, size and physics. its amazing to think that Final Fantasy VII looked better on a PSX than any PC, its min req. on PC was a Pentium II 200mhz, whereas the PSX had a mere 30mhz.
yep, you can't beat console architecture and the talented developers that can get the best out of it

Will it go that fast? I've spotted star wars, Alien, Terminator 2, saving pvt ryan
man this is great |
I could have worded it better but I was meaning the sexual references that are there, like his girlfriend having 69 on her t-shirt at the start of the game when shes on the phone, there are some risque signs littered around the levels and little things like that which if you blink you'll miss some are just blatent like bouncing on a pair of tits to gain access to a higher level and the caveman with the willy.
The movies references as you say are more obvious if I remember correctly Conan - The Barbarian, Full Metal Jacket/Platoon, Jaws, The Wizard of Oz, The Terminator, Eyes Wide Shut, The Untouchables, Gladiator, Night of the Living Dead, Bram Stokers - Dracula, Saving Private Ryan, The Matrix, Star Wars, Aliens, Reservoir Dogs and Clockwork Orange are all parodied
Yeah its good fun, surprised me back in the day that Nintendo agreed to this being released on the N64, its just so adult.

I do not understand how so many people here are already done downloading this game, I remember when GTA: SA was released people were posting pics of it within an hour of when it was released. I do not understand how that can be.

I just used qwix, extracted .iso then like yourself manually deleted dashupdate.xbe with explorer I left update.xbe because deleting dashupdate was enough to reduce the size to DVD5.
Then rebuilt again using qwix making sure to retain the directory structure of the original DVD.
Then just burnt as an image using nero as usual - worked fine.

Man that sound's hilarous
Cheers for the info m8
The voice acting in this game are top notch - grim reaper
The gfx, sound, mood, humour damn I can't understand how a swedish magazine would give it "8". It should deserve more, they are probably halo 2 fanboys, lol.
I hope the game is a lengthy one, and not just jump and your done. Im not sure if there's any replay value? But the game is so fun, you wanna play it forever
And I've just started the campaign, just used the frypan to beat that stone big ass demon
I hope that T2 intro is in there as a cut sequence

The funny thing is I extracted and repacked the iso and it played fine from the disk for like 2 minutes then it started stuttering, and I got the dirty disk error. So I just extracted the contents of the disk to the harddrive and it plays fine now. Glad I upgraded the harddrive. LOL
