select game 1, game 2 or game 3 from the pub/tavern that the game loads up into. you have to press right or left on your control pad a couple of times to pan round the room to see that choice Wink

so does the single player option in BFD start off as a platform type game then progresses to the 3rd person shooter like the conker demo from Jade Empire.

THIS GAME IS HILARIOUS!!

For anyone who is having trouble with the single player here is a hint guide over at game faqs. http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/n64/file/conkers_bad_fur_day.txt

its for the n64 version, but since they are the same it doesn't matter.

'Tis indeed a stunning looking game.I'm struggling to get to grips with the multiplayer though.Even with bots it's absolute chaos and information overload on the screen - i often struggle to see my weapon sights through all the visual anarchy Smile

That said, i'm sure it will grow on me & i'm looking forward to battling against human opposition, which will either be hilarious or maddening in the extreme!

Cheers

Yepp.. a real classic game.

The gfx are the best I have seen on the Xbox, right with Splinter Cell Chaos.

It is also fun as hell.
And all the time you notice little things that make the whole game a lot cooler and you wanna see what comes next.

Amazing graphics but WHY did Rare have to dumb down the gameplay so much Confused For Example:

On the level I just compelted I had to enter a combination by shooting these symbols in the correct order on the wall with my boomerang, but the correct combination is *displayed on the wall* on Xbox's version .. kind of eliminates any difficulty there?? , On N64's you have to guess the combo and if you get one letter wrong 3 times in a row a mine comes out of the ground and blows you up, None of this applies to xbox's version ...

Ok so after you get the combination correct the floor opens up in front of you revealing water, you jump in and have this helmet with a flashlight mounted on it so you can see underwater , After awhile the battery in your helmet dies and the light goes out, making it very hard to see underwater ... But not on Xbox's version ,even tho the light goes out the level remains very bright so you dont even need to find another battery.. Also while underwater you eventualy lose your breath and will die unless you find one of the many air bubble pockets in the level ..On xbox's theres tons of these making it pretty hard to actualy die from lack of air , On n64's there are far less air pockets , that combined with having to find batteries makes n64's version much more challenging... And to think all of that only describes 1 small portion of 1 Chapter ...

thats the problem with todays games, gamers are less challenged like the older days to make the game seem better for those who ain't very good gamers - gives them a chance to finish a game, lol

well in some games they have good difficulty settings that can be changed manually, but yeah games are usually easier today. but this is also because the games used to be so much shorter before and they wanted them to last longer by making them harder.

i think they changed in conker because alot of the gameplay is trial and error style and too many new players would have been furious if it was left in the game, since games has delevoped beyond that in a way.

to those that have played n64 conker btw, whats new in this version, except it being easier? i heard there was some new features...

Well... I have got the N64 version but never played it much, it was too damn hard. This new version looks amazing, such a shame the xbox is being pushed out of the way by its big brother, its got so much life left in it.....

Anyway.... anyone found out if it is possible to enable the swearing? The swearing wasnt bleeped out in the N64 version was it? The scouser ants arent half as funny with their swearing bleeped!

So the Jade Empire demo was part of Conkers Bad Fur Day? I started the game expecting to play Live and Reloaded and after the opening sequence the Conkers Bad Fur Day title appeared on screen I was like what?!, do I have to play through Bad Fur Day to get to Live and Reloaded or what lol. I never played the N64 version but where is Live and Reloaded? Is the jade empire demo level part of the N64 game as well or is that new to Xbox? Or is the game a complete port of Conkers Bad Fur Day with updated graphics, game changes and just a new name? Anyone shed some light on this please.

Conkers: bad fur day is the single player portion of the game. which is why its called reloaded. The Live part of the game refers to xblox live support with a whole bunch of multiplayer modes of play. As for the jade empire demo, i have no fucking clue, my version doesn't even have a demo option from the main menu. maybe try removing the dashupdate that might screw things up a bit; it added an item too my game list called 'cdx'.

There are 2 games in live & reloaded: Bad fur day & online.

Bad fur day is an exact remake of the N64 game only alot more works are sonsored. The multiplayer mode is all new.

It was but not as much as Xbox's , for example the word Shit is censored on Xbox's(wich kind of degrades the dung beetles humor) , also when fighting the Poo Monster when he says "You little Twat!" its censored on Xbox "You little %@$#"

I think censored word is more funnier because we can subsitute any 4 letters swear word we want. "You little %@$#" could be f@ck! or sh#t! rather than just Twat!. If people haven't play the n64 version, the censored word can be anything and I like that.

If you hate it, ignore it.

DDE error is cause most of the time by corrupted file(s) or missing file(s).

Again to remind everyone, don't use xISO to extract or create xiso. Your chances of getting DDE in the game, whether at the beginning or end is very high. It's not a good software.

Also, you don't need to repack the iso after deleting updatedash and update, just burn it in Nero using udf/iso format. All release are already patched. That's why all the iso can be burn directly.

Ok thanks for your reply. That cleared up a lot! Very Happy

The Jade Empire demo featured a WW1/2 level where you start on the beaches and work your way up to the heavily defended base. Its like the Omaha mission from MOH and the scene from Saving Private Ryan. Does anyone know if this is in the single player game on the Xbox port which would also mean it was in Conkers Bad Fur Day on the N64?

I used Qwix to repack and burnt the ISO with both Nero and Disc Juggler. Both come up with DDE so I put it on the HDD instead! I would like a working copy on DVD also so would Craxtion or Xtraction work better?
