Nicolae Ceaușescu was a sick perverted megalomania who caused extreme suffering in Romania and amassed wealth while the country was declining. After his death things got even worse with the Caritas (pyramid scheme) that emptied the coffers of the government and the people causing extreme poverty.
It will take many decades to repair all the damage that happened.
But we're obviously exaggerating and mocking Romania in good fun. Hopefully Romania, with it's rich history, can climb up and become a healthy and wealthy nation in the future.
Caritas (ponzi scheme):
Caritas was a Ponzi scheme in Romania that was active between April 1992 and August 1994. It attracted millions of depositors from all over the country who invested more than a trillion old lei (between one and five billion USD) before it finally went bankrupt on 14 August 1994, having a debt of 450 million U.S. dollars ($667 million in current terms).
A state-approved pyramid-scheme that promised wealth to all Romanian citizens.
