you can see every time when you actually hit the enemy,
you get an "x" mark in your crosshair, after like 3-4 of em the enemy should be dead if no headdie.

Server De-listing Update
EA and DICE both fully support server-side modding in the sense that we have intentionally exposed a good deal of Python functionality to the end-user, primarily to encourage modders to tweak game types and scoring (on UNRANKED servers) once the full game is available. That said, we have come to discover that two items that were not a part of the demo feature-set were hacked in the Battlefield 2 demo. We consider both of these changes in violation of the Tools EULA that each server operator accepted in installing the server software.
The demo's feature set included a 12-minute time limit on rounds and excluded access to the weapon unlocks. Because some server operators have hacked the time limit out of their servers or hacked access to the unlocks, we have been forced to reinforce our intended feature set by delisting the offending servers. All violations of the EULA as described above will result in a 1-week ban/delisting.
The activities of the obviously active hacking community reinforce our decision to not release the Ranked server publicly with the final product. Our desire is to be able to offer an exploit-free place to play where players can legitimately gain ranks, and collect awards and unlocks. The only way we can offer such a service and protect the Ranked server content is by hosting the ranked servers directly and through trusted partners. The Unranked server tools will be released to the community so that they may host their own BF2 servers, mods, etc."
Here is a link to a site that has a list of servers with unlocked time
http://spy.dyndns.info/ServerTracker/ServerList.aspx
lets all try to add more servers to this list so we can all be able to find good ones
also found this so you can have limited support for ASE

My thoughts on EA/DICE/GAMESPY actions -
A lot of the people putting up these servers are the same ones that have supported your franchise over the years. They spend THEIR time and money (server costs, bandwith costs, domain costs) to put up servers and maintain fansites, promoting YOUR product, and you fuck them up the ass like this? Very respectful of you.
These people are the very ones who ensure the success of your product, hell, help pay your fuckin fat salary, and you blacklist them?
EA supportive of the mod community? Oh, you fuckin bet they are. As long as the modders dance to EAs tune. Motherfuckin corporate pricks with no shame.
Dice? You have no excuse either. You are merely EAs puppets now, they only pull your strings. You sold out, you're now no longer better than they, and deserve no respect either.
The sad part about all of this? The owners are taking this rape with a smile on their face. Admins/fansite ops need to stand up, and let it be known they don't appreciate that kinda shit. But, I guess as long as EA sends em a copy a week early all is good? Sad...
While we're on topic....I'm sure IGNs review on this title is going to be not biased in the least. Lets not forget, every single one of em has been playing full retail since the beggining of this month, and every single name on that ladder (click BFHQ for rankings) is IGN staff. The ass kissing in this one oughta be phenomenal.
I can never be free, because the shackles I wear can't be touched or be seen.

I totally agree with everything being said here about how EA tries to control everything. Problem is that as long as people are buying their games they are not gonna change. So in a way it's our own fault. If you feel strongly about EA screwing you without lubricant then don't buy their product. That's the only thing they are gonna notice, if sales go down. Unfortunately I don't think sales are gonna be weak with BF2. Another thing is that I don't understand why gamemakers like Dice should be idealistic and not sell their product to EA. I am pretty sure they wanna make good games and MONEY. I can imagine that a lot of money and resources get's thrown into a smaller company once you are with EA. and maybe that could be a good thing.

I enjoy the game but the maps are simply too big for a team with no co-ordination
If people work as a team iots brilliant, but that rarely happens
