It's absolutely 1:1 in gameplay style. Gets boring again.

+1 definitely
Cool game. never played the first but this one is pretty fun. Not a mindless button masher either, a bit of tactics required.

Alt-tab and go back in it'll turn into a normal pointer.

I'm liking the game, it's obviously very similar to the predecessor but there are some welcomed tweaks/additions that make the gameplay better. The controls are a bit more responsive and faster, and the combat is slightly more varied with the counter-kills a-la Batman coupled with more types of enemies and interactive environments.
It's not perfect though, since the repetitiveness factor is still quite high...but it's recommended for all the fans of the genre.

What mouse issue? You mean mouse pointer being shown as busy?
Well, ignore it. Alt+Tabbing and then returning seem to have helped some people.

not that one.. If you move your cursor to left little, he strikes at right side only..

I was thinking about this myself and I wonder if this was a gameplay tweak. Like in Batman:AA (didn't play AC), he'll attack all the henchmen and keep them "engaged" and not just focus on one character.
Maybe Shank is doing the same, attacking all the enemies onscreen and not just focussing on one even when we want him to but maybe some proximity meter goes off and he attacks the others even when we click in the other direction.
I might be wrong but this is just my guess.
1 and 2 are still amazing.

Hmm, interesting.
I played the game using the keyboard only. That's why I had no idea.
Anyways, if it becomes too problematic for you then try using the keyboard only or the 360 gamepad.
