Very strange...I installed the texture pak and my game crashes during the opening wagon ride. I take the textures off and it runs fine past the wagon ride...I save and put the textures back in and it seems to be running fine...I think it will crash again...but when????

2k HD is a joke anyway. If you actually care about how the game looks and the fitting art direction they had planned for it, you'll go for the official hd pack.
2k HD is basically 400 files out of the 20.000 of the game. Official replaces way more (round 10.000, didn't really check).
Either way 2k is basically added noise to some textures or replaced with random textures off cgtextures and mixed by a 0-xp photoshop user who struggled to even change the palette of said textures. In other words.. a hack job. But whatever floats your boat i guess.
Vurt on the other hand, yeah keep that + official imo.

skolo666's mod list tells us that beside having a good taste in mods he is also an ass man.

The stuff they were experimenting with was VERY good. Most of that should've been in the game. It's mostly ideas that would flesh out the gameplay a bit and this game definitely needs more of that.

Well the game needed to be released at some point, like with every game the schedule is very tight.
spajdr: could be in a DLC or released free, he didn't know..

It's funny some of those things modders thought should be in the game too, because I've seen some of them already out as mods..
(Flow-based Water Shader ) (Some what, not exactly the same thing but meh) - RWT Realistic Water Textures by isoku - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=711
(Kinetic Shouts) ThuuMic - Real Life Dragon Shouts VAC version NO LONGER SUPP by DeadlyAzuril - http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=3251
And the ice, fire, water arrow thingy I've seen somewhere too..
Friendship is like peeing on yourself; everyone can see it, but only you get the warm feeling that it brings.

All of this talk about future enhancements makes me glad that I haven't started playing Skyrim yet. I will enjoy it in its full glory in a couple of months.

Well, all the stuff they did, it was done with Creation Kit. So modding community can recreate all they did, it's just a matter of time for people to get to know the Creation Kit.
