How do you guys divide the map into clear areas? I don't see any cutoff points. I can pretty much travel to anywhere I can see on the map by foot. Or is the initial world map only a part of teh gameworld?
i have never put a point into lockpicking. its skill based not stat based so you can open even the hardest locks even at level 1 (its just much harder). waste of points imo.
dispelling is hit and miss for me. i did the tutorial one super easy but i didnt 'get it' so much, so when i found a hard one it went from 'oh another ward, no problem' to 'fffuuuuuu--'. i can get them pretty easy now as long as i hit every ward in one pass/rotation (my dispel skill is lvl 3).
Try opening a very hard lock without any points in lockpick, you'll waste a lot of picks. As for dispelling, hit the wards but not the red ones. It's pretty simple.

The areas are pretty clearly marked by location. Top left; Dalendarth, direct top; Erathell, top right; Klurikon, bottom left; Detyre and finally on the bottom right; Alabastra.
~edit~
Oops.. five. Not four.. thus, not quadrants >_< Sorry about that.

Ah ok like that. I thought you guys meant traveling to new continents and whatnot. I personally wander around the whole map without thinking about clearing an area first.
EDIT: Removed as I missed some DLC files.
(So that's what all the sub-folders were for.)
EDIT: Solved - http://www.mediafire.com/?bef23bwv9d0ak93
(And if there was a way to get them working in "other" editions of the game along with the ME3 armor and other demo unlocks and that fate weapons then if those felt weak these will probably feel completely opposite.)
(But it does not overcome / replace my existing high-end armor, which funnily enough was won in the arena and now when compared to these end-game items I don't think there's anything better.)
The files from 1.0.0.2 now that I've sorted through it.
(Feb 03 for 1.0.0.1 thus why it was already in Origin and now Feb 06 for 1.0.0.2 here, still can't find any details or info at all about it but it does bring support to the three recent DLC released.)

Nothing in the options menu yet, I assume (But am probably wrong about it.) that the first major update (1.0.1.1 say instead of these current 1.0.0.x builds.) will try to have that corrected if they will indeed work on fixing it.

i can do a very hard in three picks or less (almost every time). for me, dispelling isnt as easy with only a few points in the skill, but i doubt i will bother putting any more into it since i can open them all at lvl 3.
my biggest issues which tones down fun a lot is, being far too strong, gear used just for salvage, any set/epic item totally worthless, even house of valor ones
outdoor zones doesnt lvl with you which in the ends turns into bleh 1 shot all gray stuff
blacksmithing with pristine runes, eats alive all other gear, i get epics with 100~ dps when i wield 170~ weapons..
there was point in beginning when it was hard, i was running out of pots, respecing, thinking going half ranged, but all that eventually outgrew, at some point you have enough to produce your own gear with bs (10 lvl or whatnot ) which renders all epics waste of space, same for set items, and all white.green, blue salvage materials, idont mind crafting best gear, but once in a while i want to find epic that isnt twice as bad compared to what i use..
^ So crafting is too powerful? It's a fine balance that not many devs get right (usually crafted stuff just sucks compared to drops). Still waiting to play this, like Yondaime.
Achievements "unlock" but, like achievements in 99% of every other game, they're useless. No rewards, just a badge that you can take screenshots of and brag to people about
What's the deal with this update talk? Has the game actually had a official update?
Wonder why Skidrow haven't released it for their version if so.
By the way does anybody know if the in game achivements actually unlock in the theta release?
There's two patches, Origin already had 1.0.0.1 when the game got released (Though Theta did a separate update.) and today 1.0.0.2 was released but again there's no changelog or any info at all so I guess it's just misc bug fixes and optimizations and nothing major.
The patch supports those DLC but it probably does a bit more than just that since the DLC is a separate file.
(I bundled them together in what I uploaded above but it would be nice to see a actual changelog posted.)
Guess THETA is the way to go then as they seem to offer the best support.
unfortunately that version won't save the resolution for me for some reason.
Good to hear the achivements unlock, I know they're worthless, but sometimes they can be a little fun to unlock anyways. Gives one something more to do, though I'm not one of those 100% gotta have everything types by any stretch.
Thanks for the replies.
I wouldn't put my money on that. THETA's release is the Origin version, Skjdrow's release is the Steam version. You can try but backup your files first.
