Ok guys important question. Is this game worth to download? I mean what is graphic and gameplay? This game is next shit or maybe not?

The question is not what is graphic and gameplay. It is what is love. Baby don't hurt me no more.

Maybe not. Yes.

Glad you like it, peeps. I found the combat, story and ambience pretty great, but at the same time, sometimes the game was somewhat too restricting for my taste. Very railroady. Still, slashing and shooting people made up for it Razz Also, I liked the pacing. The way they sometimes slow down the action with a well crafted weirdo scene (hospital) is pretty nice.

I'm trying 85 and it looks a bit TOO fish eye, so I'm gonna experiment and try 75 instead. Be right back.

Done. FOV75 and I also manually selected 16:10 ratio, as opposed to leaving it on auto. I like it.

I've got some weird-ass performance issue at the moment though. Runs locked at 60 for 99% of the time, but randomly drops down to 45 or so and sticks there for a few seconds. It's bugging the hell out of me.

Ah nice fix there. 70 seems to be fine for me.

Finished it, pretty short and it does lack variety. I'd say it's just as good as FEAR 3, both have some good ideas sadly though, most weren't well implemented.

FEAR 3 destroyed what story the franchise had with massive plot holes, Darkness 2's story I thought was pretty well done.

I had it too (and my rig is no slouch) so yeah, disabling vsync fixed it all. I'll just have to put up with some tearing. As for the game itself; I am definitely impressed with it - the animation, the voice work, the style, it's all aces. I especially love the humour, some of the jokes you hear the wiseguys/bad guys tell each other made me actually LOL Very Happy

Just finished it. Compared to the ending of the first Darkness, it's pretty bad.

Overall it's an OK game I guess, 6+/10 maybe?

Took me a little over 4 hours on the Hitman difficulty (or whatever that was, one step below the hardest)

I doubt much of anything will ever truly compare to the first game and I've said it before but I'll say it again; it was god damned CRIME of Starbreeze to not bring it to the PC. The Darkness was/is a masterpiece of story-based FPS titles Sad

Oh shit!! I only just discovered the shit-tons amount of lore and back story from the Relics menu ^_^

With the Widescreen Fixer I'm enjoying the game a lot more than before. It's still too linear for my tastes but definitely a good gory timewaster, just as expected. I'm digging the cartoonish style too, it fits incredibly well with the splatter atmosphere.

Sadly this Darkness II is nothing particularly impressive overall, one of those play->finish->shift-delete kind of games Razz

Played through it. Decent game, entertained while it lasted though I was getting bored towards the end so probably good that it ended so soon. I thought the first game was better.

There's a short summary pre-rendered video you can choose to view that does a fairly good job of filling in what you missed. I was in the same boat.

Just finished it, watched the obvious - crappy - ending and then loaded back up to go for the rest... and I thoroughly enjoyed each and every minute. The game could have definitely been longer, I'd have been happy with another few hours, but oh yeah; it's safe to say I REALLY friggin' enjoyed this Very Happy Gunplay felt solid, the voice acting was spot on and I loved the visual style too - it allowed DE to be really creative with the brutal gore.

If I had to rate it I'd give the game 8/10. It definitely should have been longer and less linear, but linearity often makes for a good coherent story, which is never a bad thing Very Happy

..... now I want #3!! ^_^

I would also welcome a sequel. Just let them mix a bit of Darkness 1 free roam into it, add a little bit more content and it just may become a really top shelf game Smile

You'll know if it's uncut just by killing enemies -- if you slash them apart and dismember with your Darkness tentacles; it's not cut. If you cut gaping big holes into their chests when you eat their hearts; it's not cut. Plus of course there's a lot of blood splashes in the uncensored version. Honestly mate? Just grab the Skiddy crackfix and be done with it =)

I see blood, gore and such as per the screens but that about eating hearts doesn't leave any wounds whatsoever, how odd.
(You just see that glow outlining a heart on a dead body and all that happens if you take it is that the worm creature tentacle thing grabs onto it and swallows it which is pretty graphic but the body model you performed it on doesn't change at all.)

Loved how her titts wobbled during the end.

More devs should invest in tit physics, even hardware devs, imagine a full core just rendering some t&a, it would be delicious.
