sounds like what FC2 should have been. We'll see though. FC2 sounded interesting on paper with all their pre-release hype and, imo, it was a flaming pile of shit.
Well, atleast I remember reading about FarCry 1, and everything turned out just like they said.. Yeah, I know, the second one was a piece of BS, but im beeing optimistic, and think that third piece will be great.

I really don't consider the first one that much better anymore since I've tried to play it not so long ago again (never finished it). It has its own problems. The problem with the second game was mostly how bad was the content the game was filled with. The shooting felt really good on the other hand, way better than in the first game. The only thing I liked more in the first one was the tropical setting actually. Since that's back, I just hope they'll fix the problems of the second game and it should be quite enjoyable.

Call me a freak, but from time to time I actually do like a nice cinematic trailer - it sets the mood quite nicely, as opposed to 3 mins of cobbled together footage showing gunfire and cover mechanics, like in every other FPS since the day Namco released Kill.Switch.
